When a couple prays together they should have the same mind ?....1 can not have faith and the other doubt, or just going through the motions but in execution of the words there was nothing behind those of the partner.....what could we expect from God.....If 1 is on solid ground and the other says but isnt because of being overwhelmed by what they see or feel.
Question and I hope I get a good answer:

Gary and I have helped each other for years. In times when I don't feel so strong, he'll say something God inspired. It lifts me up. He has down moments too. I think it's called iron sharpening iron.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
You could say something like...All I'm asking you to do is to have a little faith. Give Jesus a chance.
It's an idea.

Mary
Hi Chip, God bless you!
Just tossing around ideas, okay. When our daughter was little, our family started closed family meetings. We pray first and ask God for a hedge of protection around our household. Then we talk about anything and pray. Whatever is said in the meeting stays in the meeting. We never talk about it outside our home ever. Shari still calls home and asks to pray together.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)
God sets the solitary in families: he brings out those who are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. (Psalm 68:6)
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
When satan tries to harm a family member the others are all over satan. It's like king kong on the empire state building. We fight with the sword of the spirit and prayer. It's family, and we fight for each other.
Time to start work.
Love,
Mary
You can expect that God hears and answers your prayers. Where two or more are gathered, He is there also...even if the two or more aren't in exact agreement or one isn't all that faithful, there is still the faithful one that God still hears and answers. And God tells us often to encourage one another because He realizes that some of us will be weak and others strong and sometimes that can vary between the two. So we lift the other one day and then the other lifts us another day.
