- Began early as I was baptized into the Episcopal church and as a child I participated in many of the functions at the local church including being a helper with communions and walking down the isle with one or the other of the flags and or cross....and working with the ministers during some of the festive things the church body did as a body of believers...way way before I got saved but to me it was sorta robotic but since I left the church I got caught up in the Jesus movement of the 70s and that lamp burnt hot and bright and I still have that deep deep sence of longing to be home...in 1982 it was August I was approached by who I thought were possessed people laughing and being so joyful it scared me..so I ran I couldn't handle the joy of the Lord very well It just blew me away...and Im still blown away today I recall when the Holy Ghost poured into my heart and soul and took me places Ive never been and left me with a taste still as sweet as the first day when I met Him....He has spoke to me when I was in trouble "He simply said" don't worry and that's when His peace fell upon me way beyond anything I could ever have done like drugs or alcohol He took me and brought me back different I had such a feverish hunger for the entire word of God I just couldn't get enough down in me and still cant for the vastness of His understanding encourages me I can not get enough this is the book I turn to on everything to find peace, to find understanding, but most importantly Truth that's never ending and never failing....His Love and His promises Amen.
