All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

So today is my anniversary. On this day last year, I was baptized. I said yes to dying with Christ and living for Him, on this day a year ago. The first of April, April fool's day. I committed to dying and living for Christ

I read about King Josiah a couple of days ago, I can't stop thinking about him, what he did. No wonder so many Christians named their children after him.

See, King Josiah discovered the Book of the Law, He discovered what God wanted from the Israelites and He went on a rampage, he tore his clothe which i guess signifies his heart being torn. upon discovering how short he/the Israelites fell, he was torn, he grieved.

Then, he made a commitment to "to follow the LORD and keep his commands, regulations and decrees with all his heart and all his soul"

See, this was not just something he said but after making this commitment, this convenant, this promise. He followed through. He rid the nation of all idols, everything that was against the law of God, everything, the asherah poles, the altars, all the sacred stones, everything that was consecrated to Baal, the sun, the moon and all other deities. He got rid of everything that was against the Law of God, everything that would keep him/Israel away from God.

I love the story of King Josiah, It is such a picture of revival. we get rid of every thing that keeps us from the Lord like you said. I have been following the healing revival in Florida on line and last night that was the cry going up to the Lord; more of you and less of me, all of you and none of me. When we realize how far we have moved away from God when our hearts are revealed by the move of the Holy Spirit and the word of God. It will cause a revelution in our own personal lives.
