Blog Numero Six: I Will Execute Judgment, I Am the LORD

Exodus 12

1. Now the LORD said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,

3"Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, 'On the tenth of this month they are each one to take a lamb for themselves...

7.... they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.

12'For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments-I am the LORD.

13'The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt

I attended service today and as one of the pastors spoke of the crucifixtion and the nails and the thorns, can't breathe, He thirsts, affixiation, support, hanging, shame,disgrace, death, the congregation was somber. understandably so, we were commemorating the death of a King. Christ died, He died. Why?

Because God is still Lord and He will once again execute judgment. We are so accustomed to the euphemism, so accustomed to the niceties of it all. After all God is a good God, yes He is indeed, we say it all the time, God is good, all the time and all the time God is great. But His goodness does not defeat His justice nor does it topple His wrath. He is perfectly able to be love and a God of judgment and wrath at the same time.

Truth is, He will once again execute judgment, when? well He didn't see fit to tell us. what we know is that it will come, and as it was in the time of Moses only those who have the blood of the Lamb will be spared. Christ died so that when God once again executes judgment, He will pass over us. Christ is our Passover Lamb. His blood saves us from the Judgment of God.

Already covered by the blood? Great! Praise God, but what of those whom you love? When they face judgment, are they covered? When God execute judgment once again, how shall they escape?


As we celebrate/commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ, let’s not forget those who are still blind, our call is to make disciples, pray that Holy Spirit will work mightily in us to seek the lost for Christ. No one will stand when the Lord once again execute judgment except those who are covered by Christ's blood.


please pray that our hearts will bleed for the lost, pray that we will become sensitive to them. pray that God will use you to help someone escape His righteous judgement .
