Thoughts for 3-2-08
Psalm 55: 16-18
"As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice, He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me"
Praying evening, morning, and noon is certainly an excellent way to maintain correct priorities throughout every day. Daniel followed this pattern (Daniel 6:10), as did Peter (Acts 10:9-10). The prayers of God's people are effective against the overwhelming evil in the world.
Lord, I pray you will help all of your people to turn to you in prayer, nothing is too small or too great to carry to you. Father, with your help and protection we can tap into the inner strength of the Holy Spirit to walk through the trials you allow in our lives. Your word tells us these trials are to help us grow and prepare us to serve you better. Thank you for these trials and we (as your believers) will walk through them in a way that is honoring to You. Amen

Thank you for responsing. It is really strange, I wrote this right after my devotional time that day. However, I had forgotton all about these comments. It is really amazing to me, how fleeting our thoughts are and how the world can crowd the godly thoughts out of our mind when we are not being digilent to preserve them. Bless you for allowing God to allow you to call these thoughts back to my mind. Bless you.

What a comforting thought having a Father who is Master, Ruler and Creator of the Universe but He loves us and hears every thought and prayer and answer according to His riches in His time (something we struggle to understand sometimes). When you look back to your trials you can only see that God alone could have helped you through it!! how great is our God.
