In June of 1993 I gave birth to a beautiful little girl. The delivery was difficult and because she was backwards I had to have a C-Section. Complications arose and I had to be completely sedated. I vaguely remember waking up, I was strapped down, very disoriented, afraid, and in severe pain. However, the only thought in my head was "Where is my Baby?". I could see the lights over my head as they rolled me from the delivery room to the recovery room, I was crying very hard and still hadn't seen…

One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Paul, Ephesians 3.13,14
Happy New Year! >This would be a good briefing to print, and respond in writing~
What will this year hold for you? There will be smiles, struggles, sin, satisfaction--the stuff our lives are made of. While nothing magical happens when we turn the calendar page to…

I am writing this as a prayer request for our Pastor Dave Pound , Berean Baptist Church of Mansfield, Ohio. His 21 year old son Jon was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and very aggressive. It is in many of his vital organs. He starts aggressive chemo tomorrow. I pray that God's will be done and that the family and John have peace, stength and God's arms wrapped around them this difficult time. May all who have home churches please put them on your prayer request sheets.
In prayers and…

This afternoon I watched briefly as the remains of the Calgary Herald Reporter and the four soldiers were removed from the Air Force Plane and placed into one of the five hearses. Then the families, loved ones and friends each placed a rose, white, yellow or red on the coffins that contained remains of loved ones. I have watched this scene numerous times but never did it move me as it did today. Each family member, each wife, sister, daughter, brother, son, each friend had looked forward to…

9 YR OLD....CANCER
MANSFIELD -- He's only 9 years old, but Sam Bish is fighting as dreadful a disease as anyone could endure.
Five months ago, the boy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
His mother Cindy is hoping her former community will step up to help. Cindy, 36, is a 1991 Mansfield Christian graduate.
"This summer we noticed that Sam was complaining about pain in his right leg," Cindy said. "We just thought it was growing pains, so…

May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Holiness means wholeness. God wants holy people who are whole-hearted and true, for His service and for the work of praying. These are the sort of people God wants leaders and these are the kind out of which the praying class is formed.
When a person prays every part of his being…

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Paul was a confident man. During his earlier years, the apostle’s positive attitude came from trusting in his credentials, namely, his background, education, and position. However, his encounter with the…

New Year Priorities
Matthew 6:33-6:33
INTRO.- ILL.- A reporter covering a coal-mine disaster wrote a story that began: “God looked at the grief today in this little West Virginia mining town, and He wept.” The city editor emailed back: “Forget the mine cave-in. Interview God.”
Obviously, getting to know God in a personal way should be our greatest priority in life. If we plan on spending eternity with Him then it seems like a good idea to get acquainted with Him…

Christmas has come gone again, and the New Year is here. I trust everyone had an awesome Holiday Season. But now it is time to get back to work and to put our celebrations behind us for a while.
I have never had the opportunity to attend a Bible College, University, or Seminary, so this is not prepared to level in which someone who has had the opportunity to attend one. Maybe someday I may get the opportunity to attend one.
God has put a message on my heart to share with…

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:1-4
In the Bible, valleys symbolize periods of hardship and suffering. David…

".... whatsoever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Mark 11:24)
When we ask God for something that we know is in His will, we must also be ready to receive the answer.

Scrap Heap
You perhaps recall the story of the blacksmith who gave his heart to Jesus. Though living a more Godly life, still he was not prospering materially. In fact, it seems that from the time of his conversion more trouble, affliction and loss were sustained than ever before. Everything seemed to be going wrong.
One day a friend…

The love of God is beyond all comprehension. Gods Love for YOU began before you were born. Before you were conceived.
It doesn't matter if you were conceived out of rape, or an accident, or by Invetro, God loves you and knew you before He even created the world you live in.
The life and death of His Son, Jesus Christ, is directly linked to the love God has for You. This…

As we encountered trials, many people tried to question our Creator where to the point-- blaming Him!!! then.. some will go to friends, where they will suggest to finish the problems through drinking!!! I remember a friend told me about this verse in the bible defending himself in his doing as running away to his problems: "Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more"-- Proverbs… Continue
