My sister Jocelyn has a great talent of writing poems. She does wonderful and this is one of her poems,
His Voice
His voice roars to my ears,He is the one that the people fear.
His voice gives me advice, for He is the one who paid the price.
His voice tells me were to go,He said the people need you dont walk
slow. His voice is everything to me,it is my soul and to follow

[ Draft ] I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve in a church group that is alive and on the unusual side. Our church is next door to a bar in a small community. The ministry is patterned after the Matthew 9 account of Jesus joining Matthew and the sinners. A busy week of fixing the building up, a real challenge as it is a historical building (bank) from the 1849 California gold rush days. Many of those hurt by mainstream churches are being attracted and the Lord is moving.
It…

SEVEN REASON TO HONOUR THY FATHER. :-
1. Because they gave birth to us.
2. Because they love us.
3. Because they think of our well being.
4. Because they provide us.
5. Because they teach us.
6. Because they protect us.
7. Because they carry our burden.

The poems for all
You know, Lord, how i serve you,
with great emotional fervour;
in the limelight
You know how eagerly I speak to You
At a woman's club
You know how i effervesce when I promote
A fellowship group
You know my genuine enthusiasm
At a Bible study
But how would i react, i wonder,
If you pointed t a basin of water
And asked me to wash the calloused feet
Of a bent and wrinkled old woman-
Day after…

Today is 15th of June 2008. Today i learned about serving other as Jesus served others. Jesus said," Fir even the Son of Man did not come to be served , but to serve and to give life as ransom for many" Mark 10:45. The royal law in the scriputures is Love. Love is called "Royal Law" because it is the supreme law that is the source of all the laws governing human relationship..as Jesus Said,"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your…

I watched a news special about a preacher the other day. I can't remember his name now, but I guess he's pretty well known. He has decided to preach against hell.
What I found to be so sad was that he believed people were coming to his church because of a fear of hell and not a love of God. In fact he couldn't reconsile himself to love God as long as he believed in hell.
When I was growing up I was raised to believe that if I died with even one little white lie that I…

I have lost seven punds...and I am proud of a meazly little seven punds...but what is amazing is that the more I diet, the better I feel about myself and the less I want to have a cigarette.
I just may be able to pull off quitting smoking and losing weight at the same time.

There are 9 supernatural gifts of the Spirit, ‘one of which is Speaking in Tongues’. Whether or not the BAPTISM of the Holy Spirit is a separate event, usually accompanied by the outward evidence of being able to pray in tongues, or whether this supernatural gift refers to the Holy Spirit coming into a person’s heart at the moment of salvation, and that the work of the Spirit is complete at this point of salvation, I believe that this subject should not be a dividing issue within the body of…

The purpose of learning God's truth about Holiness is see what God says about gaming that involves inapprotiate action such as killing.
When I was reading in 2 Corinthians 6. I found what means to be holy as like our Lord Jesus. As I came to verse 12, it tells us to not join unbelievers or avoid to become like them. The reason we suppose to not be "unequally yoked together" is because righteous do not fellowship with lawlessness. "And what communion has light with darkness?" (2…

This time last year I was sitting at home on a Friday night. I had dropped James off at his friend Cory's house around 4:30 pm. He gets out of my car and says 'Be on call mom in case I need ya" and he said "I love you" and closed the door. Thats the last time I ever spoke to him. I received a call around 9:30 pm that night. It was a woman, she said she didnt know me and I didnt know her and she then stated that my son had been envolved in a car accident in Homosassa and that the police were…

To my son James....
I thought I saw you flying thru the trees.
At that very moment I felt a cool breeze.
Your angel wings embraced me and lifted my soul.
For that short sweet moment I was warm, not cold.
The thoughts of you are vivid in my mind.
The memories of you are soft, warm, and kind.
I still count the days from your last words spoken.
A year has gone by and still I am broken.
I talk to you often and know you can…

There are so may lost people out there who are crying for help and support through Christ our Lord. Most do not know how to pray, to ask for help. I am a prayer servant for a woman who is struggling with many hardships. I am praying for her and her family and I hope all will pray for me to help her succeed in solving her trials and tribulations thru Christ. If I can help just one person, God has endured. I hope to help thousands. I know this is a great number but I have alwasy been one to shoot…

"You who have forsaken Me, declares the Lord. You keep going backward."Jeremiah 15:6 Vomit. God calls it vomit. "Like a dog that returns to its vomit is a fool who repeats his folly" (Proverbs 26:11). One of the wonderful things about God's mercy is that we often get a second chance to learn from past mistakes. But woe to the one who refuses to learn. "Woe to the rebellious children...who execute a plan, but not Mine...who proceed down to Egypt."Isaiah 30:1-2 To "proceed down to Egypt" indicates…

I truly believe that our prayers are the most powerful things on Earth! After all what is a Miracle but a prayer that has been answered! Thus it is written: DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANY- THING, BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6 ) After all, THE LORD IS FAR FROM THE WICKED BUT HE HEARS THE PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS. ( PROVERBS 15:29 ) Now I know that when our prayers aren't answered the way we would like, it can disappoint…

After careful deliberation I have decided that I am not an Athiest but rather an Agnostic. Open to the concept but have some issues with the logical bits or rather what seem to me are illogical bits. That in itself is rather ironic if you consider that as a person I could possibly be one of the wierdist most random and often socially inept people you could ever meet but it's the randomness that is ironic.
I think I'm an Agnostic because I look at some things and thing 'well maybe…

I am here! I can't believe it. I have let a root of bitterness settle in my life. I went to church today hoping to sing and lift my heart a little. It is Mother's Day and the second one without my children. It's been over 6 years since my family was intact as a whole traditional family. Four of those years we were surviving under the grace of God doing the best we all could to heal. Two little precious children were rocked when the "angel of divorce" ( added for dramatic emphasis) came knocking…

I was reading something online recently in which a respondent asked the question, "Why does Jesus have to be the Son of God?" They went on to wonder why couldn't He just be a nice guy with wise sayings who loved people. Well.
In the Garden of Eden, the first blood was shed to cover sin. God killed an animal to clothe Adam and Eve after they disobeyed Him and heeded Satan's call to eat the forbidden fruit, and were naked in their sin…
