I'm here to...: to grow my faith and have even closer relationship with God through his word

My story with God: I realised God was real when I received a great miracle (but not the first) from God that made me become very good academically. I thank God so much because even though I wanted to be a good student I just didn't know how to study and make the grades. It was like someone comes and takes away all the information from my mind anytime I finished learning. I was always either the last or the penultimate when ever I took a test. So one day a neighbour decided to go with me to a church program and there I received my miracle. My father was a pagan and my mother abandoned us but thank God we later got to know God.During the miracle service, I remember exactly the words of the pastor and I coat:GOD, THIS HANDS THAT I HAVE PLACED ON THIS CHILD ,IT IS NOT MINE BUT YOURS ,GOD FROM THIS DAY ON, LET THIS CHILD BE THE FIRST IN HIS CLASS ALWAYS. I shouted a big amen and wondered how the pastor knew what I wanted the most.And truly, I became the first in that last term in primary 6.I am pleased to say that from that day till now I have always been in the first three in exams.I also want to admit I would have been even better student today if I had remained faithful to God and allowed his direction. But thank God I now know I can't do without him and am back to him.

Other stuff about me:: I now live with my mum and my step dad after my biological father passed away about 7 years ago. We are Methodists but I am the only member of my family who is serious with God and goes to church every Sunday. And that's why I want to join this group to benefit from the spiritual encouragement offered here and also to join hands and pray that my family will come back to God in this dangerous times.
