Men's ministries and developing men to become strong godly leaders in their homes, churches and communities.
My story with God
From my earliest memory I can recall going to church and learning about the Lord from my mom and dad and from very dedicated Sunday school teachers. As a teenager I would help my father do odd job around the church. I was one of the leaders of the youth, and at the age of seventeen, in one of the most happy times of my life, I trusted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as Savior of my life.
My sin nature, however, was still present and just like in Luke 8:13, the parable of sower, my seeds fell on rocky soil and at that time there wasn’t much depth in my life for the Word of God to survive. I started college and got involved in a lifestyle of drug and alcohol use, and for about three years I remained in this state. I rebelled against everything that I had been taught in church, rebelled against every promise I had made to the Lord and betrayed the trust my parents had in me. I lied to my mom and dad, my sisters and brothers, my pastor, my friends, and to my future wife. Everything that I knew to be right took a back seat to my own free will and I began to serve the one who had a stronghold on my life. Satan had a grip on me that carried my away into some precarious situations that, at the time, I considered daring but as I look back on them the only way that I survived was by the Hand of the Lord.
But through it all the Lord was still faithful and began to draw me back. Although I did not realize it at the time one of the greatest things that He did was to lead me to my future wife. In just a short while I realized that I was hopelessly in love with this wonderful person and that if I was going to hold on to her, ever have a chance at a lasting relationship, then I would have to change. So I got a job, we got married, we bought a home, we started a family and I laid off of the drugs. Shortly thereafter we became active in a local church and God began blessing us more than you can imagine. Our second son came along in 1976 and our family was complete.
After a few years though, we became separated from our church due to some trivial thing and instead of searching for a new church home, we just quit going altogether. Of course when you distance yourself from the church, you usually distance yourself from God and it was so in my case. I never had really repented of my college days sins and it wasn’t long thereafter that I was involved in drugs and alcohol again. I became an even sorrier individual than before and for the next few years I sowed discourse and strife. I disregarded the needs of my wife and children at a time when they needed a spiritual leader at home.
Then one day a friend at work ask me a question that really had me pondering my future when he ask, “If your were to die today what would happen to your soul?” Having been challenged to answer that question, I began to read in the Bible that there was a man who was God in the flesh who lived on this earth, died on a cross, was buried in a tomb and rose from the dead to die no more. He was witnessed by hundreds of people as being alive and said that as many that believed in him would not die, but would live with him forever in heaven. As I read my Bible I could relate to almost every passage as if God had written this book only for me. And God Almighty revealed truth after truth about myself and the more I read, the more I wanted to read. When I finished the last pages and as I closed the book I felt the Holy Spirit convict me of my sin. I fell on my knees and ask the Lord to come into my life and make me whole again. I felt the Spirit of the Lord take control of my life and at that moment God made me a new person no longer a slave to the drugs and alcohol that had long ruled my life. I now have a new ruler of my life in the person of Jesus Christ.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1Tim. 1:12-14

I Know ..Who Is My Lord !!!!
I know He is the beginning, so why do I worry about the end?
I know He is the creator, so why do I wonder who will destroy?
I know He has forgiven me, so why can't I forgive myself?
I know He is a healer, so why do I speak of sickness?
I know He can do all things, so why do I say I can't?
I know He will protect me, so why do I fear?
I know He will supply all my needs, so why can't I wait?
I know He is my strength and my salvation, so why do I feel weak?
I know that everything and everyone has a season, so why when
someone's season is over do I weep instead of rejoice?
I know He is the right way, so why do I go the wrong way?
I know He is the light, so why do I choose to walk in darkness?
I know that whatever I ask of GOD, GOD will give me,
so why am I scared to ask?
I know tomorrow is not promised, so why do I put off
for tomorrow what I can do today?
I know that the truth shall make me free, so
why do I continue to lie?
I know He gives us revelation, knowledge and
understanding, so why do I lean on my own understanding?
I know I should live in the spirit as well as walk in the spirit,
so why do I choose to live in the spirit but walk in the flesh?
I know that when praises go up, blessings come down,
so why do I refuse to praise Him?
I know I am saved, so why do I refuse the word He has given me?
I know He has a plan for me, so why am I rushing it because
I am eager to do His will, when it is His time not my time?

WHAT'S A CHURCH?
A well-worn one-dollar bill and a similarly distressed twenty-dollar bill arrived at a Federal Reserve Bank to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation. The twenty-dollar bill reminisced about its travels all over the country.
"I've had a pretty good life," the twenty-dollar bill proclaimed. "Why I've been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City , the finest restaurants in New York , performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean "
"Wow!" said the one-dollar bill. "You've really had an exciting life!"
"So tell me," says the twenty-dollar bill, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?"
The one dollar bill replies, "Oh, I've been to the Methodist Church , the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church."
The twenty-dollar bill interrupts, "What's a church?"
