I love this story of how God sent Jeremiah to the potter. It leads me to ask of myself, "what type of clay am I" or "am I presenting God with and empty usable vessel". In order for the "potter" to make anything from the clay, it must first be pliable. I've never seen a "potter" take a clay pot or vase and put it on his throw in order to make it into something else.
