I'm here to...
To Love you with the Love of my Lord.
Interests:
Theology. Philosophy both secular and Christian.
In General, all sciences, with the goal of being able to accomplished God's purposes for my personal life and in turn edify all people who God brings into my life. Reading, writing and an active life in the church are among my deepest interest.
I'm passionate about...
Knowing God is my number one passion. Knowing more about him not just intellectually but in a personal experience is it for me. I am passionate about a life in holiness so I can be use by my Lord. Oh – and I am passionate about enjoying life, good humor turns me on, in the healthy sense of the word of course.
My story with God
I am in Love with God. After 16 years of being in Him, my desire to die to self and manifest his life in my daily walk continues to grow. I did not grow up Christian or religious. One day when I was experiencing extreme hardship He came into my room and brought conviction to my life for the sins I had and was involved in. As He dropped Paul from the horse, He dropped me from my bed to my knees sobbing and rejoicing as I was regenerated and translated from death to life.
Other stuff about me:
Lakers Baby -yeah yeah!! don't hate hahaha love working on cars as a hobby and doing construction work. I love music/movies and keeping the temple/my body in good shape.

Thank you for the websites. I'll have to check them out.
I have never played professional basketball or football but I would play some street. I wasn't very great but I was learning. Just about anyone could beat me. In fact if you wait Iong enough I have been know to score for the opposite team. (most exciting and then humiliating moment in my life :) Still I enjoy trying.
Actually, my daughter is part mexican or hispanic. Not sure which one. I'm trying to learn Spanish so I can teach her because of who she is and it is such a commonly used language now that many jobs require you to speak it. The more languages you know the better.
Thanks you for your help. I will probably have questions as I go along. Ok I will let you go before this coffee starts to kick in and I start rambling jk. God bless.

Oh my bad. RTC stands for Residential Treatment Center (what I am training to be qualified as an administrator over). In this RTC we house Juevenile Probation and CPS kids. We normally get abused and neglected kids and kids who have gotten into trouble with the law. A lot of them come from psychiatric hospitals or with psychotropic medicine to help stabilize them (I can preach a sermon on that one because when they leave our placement they probably don't even keep up with their meds and we have succeeded at doing nothing to help them deal with the problem). Alright that's all of my sermon I'm going to say right now.

Thanks for the request. It's always cool to make new friends and learn more about real people. I'm in the Gospels (Luke) and also in Romans (Chp 5). Reading God's Word is an adventure that I'm trying to discover in new ways. I'm trying to grow closer to God, what better way to do that then to read His Word (John 1:1)?
  • Deserey Lynn Velasquez

Yeah I really enjoy the job that I'm at in a way. I want to be over a house that has CPS and JPO kids (preferably boys house because sad to say they don't act as crazy as the girls. They mostly just whine a lot and try to act tough hehe. But I will go wherever God puts me and I know He will grant me the patience to deal with the girls too. Watch now He will put me over a house of hormonal, and moody girls to teach me patience. Better watch what I say.jk) I don't necessarily trust my bosses but for now God has me at this RTC and I am learning a lot. I bothers me to see how bad parents these days have failed in preparing our children for battle. I see more now than ever parents turning their children over to the state to raise them and any problems they have is blamed on a medical condition and their given therapy and psychotic meds. Some of these kids complain about hearing voices that them to kill themselves and we have kids who will cut themselves and when you ask them why they did it they said it made them feel better. They think in killing themselves they have won some battle but they don't see the real battle they are in. For their very lives. And what are we doing for them. Unless we reach them and show them how to fight the battle then we have done almost nothing. Anyhow I will stop preaching.
Yes for a short while I was so proud of myself and thought I was the best athlete on earth. I woke up fast from that dream when I realized what I had done. hehe
I wouldn't say my daughter has a blast with me unless she is picking on me. She already thinks I'm not cool. sigh She is growing up too fast.

I know brother, but I am finding myself becoming what I do not want to be. and this is not edifying to the body as a whole.
I have approached the person (you know who) personally and in love many times, the head of aag as i understand it is aware and chooses to do nothing and as you saw yesterday a person that really needed help ended up walking in on the battle he started and left discoraged. I do not like whom i am becomming, bitter and basically..wantint to knock the sucker out! So best those who desire encoragment or even just to chat, email me. I am always responsive in the time I am allowed and will always love.

    Greetings In Christ Jesus!

Thanks David for your kind words...and the links to the sites proposed. You are very kind.

I feel honoured to be your friend.

    In His love-Ev. Bernhard C.
  • PoiemaDei

David, thanks for your kind and encouraging words. I am praying for you. I know, like I, you recognize our absolute dependence on God to do what He has assigned us to do in the Church. May God continue to bless and use you.

    David,
I commented on Arminianism and Calvinism. I thought I sent it. Will
it appear on "the wall" for all to read?
I am a bit older (55 years) and just
learning all this new computer stuff.
If my comment to the group question
isn't there, I will send it again. Sandra
  • Sandra

    David,
please tell me again the web address to get to the theology group to make a comment and to view the theology questions. I can get on the allanoutgod web site but cannot find the theology group page. Thank you for you help. Sandra
  • Jessica Robertson

Isn't it surreal when you face "one" down and and realize that all the hype about Jesus is real afterall? So inspiring....

I'm still battling but I'm closer now than I've ever been to Jesus and for that reason, I consider this war my greatest life's blessing. This is the hardest thing I've ever been through....and I'm no stranger to the trials of life BELIEVE me....but this has been a true test of my soul and where I choose to go from here.

Hell can wait. Jesus has my life now!
  • Ginnybee

Thank you, Sir Dave. I assure you that I always do smile :D

May our Lord bless you continually!

    kindly, in Him,

Hey David.... Thank you for the nice comment.... Don't fret my brother. God is molding me to lean 110 % on him. As for the other guy,,,,, well.... i feel he has issues that only God wants to handle. I luv u... I have confidence in you. Will you please just say a little prayer for me, every once in a while. God is using you as a very strong weapon against Satan. God took care of me the other night, as he saw you had your hands full protecting us and this wonderful sight against Satan. Thank you, my Brother,

thank you for helping me understand Romans 16. i am still learning. I want to change and by His grace i will change. It is a blessing to know you brother.
  • Deserey Lynn Velasquez

Sad to say that was the most descent picture I could find of myself. I absolutely do not like having my picture taken. I always look like a convict or my family wants to take a picture on a bad day so I look like a person from a horror movie hehe jk.
Right now I I've studied about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. I was actually trying to look at the people of Sodom and Gomorrah but ended up reading about theories of what happened to destroy them. I also looked up the significance of the sacrifice (or what it meant) that God had Abram do when God made His covenant with Abram. Did I confuse you? I can email what I found to you. Some of it is interesting. Not sure about Sodom and Gomorrah though.
Tonight I read in chapter 17 about circumcision? That had to hurt so bad!! Makes me glad to be a female even with our hormones. Anyhow..... tomorrow I read about the three angels coming to Abraham and how Abraham pleaded for Sodom. Will be interesting. Of course Sarah gets into trouble but I think it must be inherited or just a girl thing JK.
Okay I will stop rambling. If you have any input please let me know. Thanks for your help.

hi david ...i have known the LORD for 24 years and still getting to know him more each and every day ...thanks for the compliment...i pray for u
  • Jessica Robertson

I would never take offense to a kind gesture done out of love :)

I'm so happy to be in this life....right in the middle of Hell itself facing down demons....because they have confirmed that my God is real. Without them I would never have KNOWN. The Lord's ways are indeed the most magical and mysterious, huh? You and I share the same secret. A secret we wouldn't wish on most people due to the intensity of the battle, but at the same time....we wish they all knew the way we do.

    Maybe one day.
  • Mona Sianipar

    hi yo bro Dave!

Does not the Bible tell us to BOLDLY go before the throne of God? I don't like to mince words. I can be a little abrasive sometimes. Sometimes my sarcasm leaks out as well.
  • Walter J Wojkowski

Hello. How do you wish to be addressed?
  • Walter J Wojkowski

You can call me anything you want, just don't call me late for supper. Wally is fine. You may be chuckling right now, but that just illustrates my penchant for the weakness of the English language.
  • Christine

Hey, that was very nice...thank you! Do you live IN L.A.?
  • Leann Nasha Semper

  • Deserey Lynn Velasquez

Thank you. I am still trying to find information about Sodom and Gomorrah. Did I spell that right? Anyhow......
I lost your email address and can't figure out how to get what I read onto the email here. (they say it is a user interface problem. I believe computers pick and choose whom they like.) I will need to try and get it copied down for you. I will do that tonight. I been so busy with school, work and my daughter it's been crazy hehehe.
Circumscision? I really never considered it because I didn't ever have to worry about it. I know God refers to us being circumscised from the world in the New Testament (doesn't he?). I forget where it is from. I'm horrible with remembering where scriptures are from. I have heard that circumscision is a symbol (is that what you would call it?) of our spiritual walk with God. I don't think I am making any sense. I know what I am trying to say but it seems to be coming out wrong. And you were worried about me being able to understand you. I will have to gather my thoughts on this and then try and make sense of what I am saying (it's another girl thing. At least I understood what you were saying.).
You are a minister? I didn't realize that. Pretty cool.
Let me ask you something. There was a something on the web about sexual immorality and same sex intercourse. I do not agree with same sex intercourse or premarital sex. What are some scriptures that speak against that. Their argument is that we have interpreted the Hebrew translation wrong and God doesn't say that it is wrong and it doesn't count for today. What are some of the scriptures? Like I said I don't believe in it but I can't remember where the scriptures are. I will get back to you with the rest of the information tonight

    Hi David...

Indeed it will be a wonderful day in heaven when all God's children are united.

I will pray for as you come to mind.... I feel as if I don't need to tell you to rest in Christ and wait on Him....you already know that! I will pray that God's will for your life will be done...

Perhaps you could invite Susan here....
    Blessings..Your sis in Christ, Carla
  • Deserey Lynn Velasquez

No I went back to get the web page copied down for the S&G and that message had been deleted (I guess it passed its storage time). Could you send it again because I am running across a lot of sites that are occult or just contradicts the Bible.
Sounds like you have been pretty busy too. I always enjoy doing church activities and conferences. Also, enjoy doing volunteer work. It helps being that busy if you enjoy what you are doing. Helps even more when you know that God is pleased with you.
  • Sampath

    Hi brother,

Hey a little sarcasm never hurt anybody. I am afraid that unless God literally puts a bridle on my tongue that I will never be cured from sarcasm. (and I think it is hopeless my enjoyment of a good prank. Only when I find someone stealing from me or something like that) Yes I admit I am known as having a smart mouth at times and for inventing cruel and unusual pranks when I am being stolen from. My most recent one I was working at a warehouse and a coworker was stealing our food. They made the mistake of stealing mine and my bosses made the mistake of shrugging it off. Now I'm not the type to judge people but. . . the Bible talks about if a fellow believer is in sin gently try to bring him back (correct or am I getting Scriptures confused?) JK. Anyhow I went home and baked chocolate chip cookies to take to work. Anyone who asked for some I told no. Well the cookies were stolen. What the thief didn't know was that they had a box of chocolate laxatives in them. If the thief had asked I would have told him not to eat the cookies but. . . . The stealing stopped for a while. Anyhow I am telling on myself. Better behave you are a pastor JK. I think it's cool you are.
Thanks for the picture. Destiny will love it. She is into tinkerbell and princesses. Also phones and makeup. .. .sigh!
Yes I think I am in pretty much all the pictures except the scenery ones. There is a picture of three adults and Destiny. I am on the left, the blonde is my older sister Dana, and my twin sister (Amy)is the one with the short haircut (she just graduated from the Albuquerque police department and now works for them full time).
  • Deserey Lynn Velasquez

Thanks a lot brother for all the links.
  • Deserey Lynn Velasquez

Oh I did repent! I repented while I was at the store buying the laxatives, I was repenting while baking the cookies, I also repented while putting the cookies in the fridge, and I even repented while laughing later. (saying Oh Lord please forgive me for what I have to do.) jk
