Hello Akinyemi. When you say Bible standard, do you mean the Bible's standard or God's standard. The Bible's standard is to walk in the spirit, not in the flesh. As Paul puts it, if we walk in the spirit, then we will not be walking in the flesh. If you are referring to God's standard, we will fail, we can't live up to his standard. That is why Jesus shed His blood for our redemption. We can't measure up to God's standard. In fact, it is deeper than our behavior. We were born sinners. Our flesh, our DNA is sinful. It is not something that we can out perform. In fact, when we try to out perform our sinfulness, we will fail. The higher you raise yourself, the harder you will fall. We should be very careful about puffing our chests out and boasting about our holiness. Many Christians have made holy living into a competition. Well, I have news for them, we have all failed this competition, that is why Christ came to shed his blood, He is the final sacrifice, He is holy, not us!!!! We should humble ourselves and serve one another and not try to outcompete each other, making others feel that they have not measured up, when none have measured up except Jesus Christ, who came and shed His blood as the one, only and final sacrifice that saves. We should put our faith in Him and spread the Gospel (Good News) to others. This would be holy, because God would get the Glory, not us!!! The way I see it, your holiness is between you and God, mine is between me and God. With that said, if you have received the Holy Spirit, then you will be continually convicted to live a holy life. Now, as Paul puts this, it is a continual struggle between spirit and flesh. The bottom line is that we are not holy yet. Flesh and bones cannot enter God's presence, it will burn up. We will lose this flesh before entering His presence. When this happens, we will truly be holy. Then, when we act holy, it won't be fake. We should love each other here with compassion instead of condemning each other with a holy competition. Just my thoughts!
