Other stuff about me:
The Church, by whatever name or denomination, is a mixture of goats and sheep, saints and sinners, good and bad, wheat and tares, sincere believers and hypocritical worshippers as there was a mixed multitude characterized by murmuring, complaints and hypocrisy among the redeemed in Israel. There were sons of Belial in the temple in Shiloh, an Achan in Joshua’s army, a Judas Iscariot among Christ’s disciples and a Demas in Paul’s team. As it was with the children of Israel so it is with the church today. The Lord described some people as sheep: these are men and women who have been convicted of their sins, those who are born again, those who are real children of God, those who have fled to Christ for salvation. The sheep are those who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, whose sins are forgiven and have the grace to live a new life; those who love and follow Christ, people who are now living for the glory of God and serving Him in all sincerity. The goats are men and women with no saving faith in Christ, they are all unconverted admirers of sermons, people who hear with delight yet remain in their sins, they are the people who have never submitted themselves to the yoke of Christ, who have not repented of their sins, who have not received the Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour, who live as if time is of more importance than eternity, who live to please themselves and other people but not the Lord. They are people who do not have genuine experience of salvation; people who live in sin, besetting sin, presumptuous sin, secret sin; people who offend members of the church, whose consciences have not been cleansed by the power in the blood of the Lamb. The goats are not members of the family of God. They may seat side by side with the sheep but at the end of time, there is going to be a separation.
