I was talking with someone the other day who did not know how to pray for herself. She said that when she prays, she feels like God ignores her or does not hear her. I'm beginning to feel the same way. I don't feel close to God. I think when I first decided to start following him (a few months ago) that "high" I felt was the anticipation of feeling what all these Christians feel. And when I pray, I don't feel closer to God and I don't feel Him. I feel like I'm left in a room with the lights turned out. I'm starting to majorly doubt Him.

I feel you, Kayla. Trust me, it isn't easy. I have fought with my faith for years and years. I went through that stage of 'god's not cool' because of other teenagers and peer pressure. I tried to ignore him, because I thought he was ignoring me. But, you know what? He isn't. Nor is he ignoring you. It seems like it, when you're going through hell and there is no end to it in sight..but you know what? Winston Churchhill once said, "If you're going through hell keep on going." There is a way out, and God will always be there. You just have to trust in him, like he does you. He trusts in you and knows you are a strong individual...together, there is nothing the two of you cannot conquer. It's a rough ride, but take it from someone that used to question him..he hears you. Please don't lose faith.
