All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

My thoughts and  reflections:

Well, God has screwed me over for the last time. I'm pleased to say that I don't care. I don't care because frankly, I don't believe and if a molecule of my existence did believe, I now hate the concept of God. So, it's been a nice 9 or 10 months that I have been on this site, but I now have the answers I seek. So, peace out people.

Hi Kayla,

What answers do you have if you don't mind sharing them?

If God exists/cares. That was answered pretty quickly.

Hi Kayla,

You know this may sound strange, but you may be going about this whole thing wrong. Before you give up at least try something different. Try loving God without asking anything from him. Why? Because God will not be tested. Even Jesus says this when confronted by satan. What that means is that God wants us to love him more than we love even ourselves. That is kind of hard to understand but it is the key to getting next to God.

Many Blessings Kayla.

I appreciate your input, but no thanks. How can I love something I don't believe in? And how can I love something that I despise? I'll do this alone. At least I can't be disappointed anymore.

All right, fair enough. But keep this in mind. If you asked God for salvation, then you are saved even if you don't yet understand it, feel it, or know it. In time you will see God working in your life and at first you will deny it. God will (((never))) give up on you. Ten years from now remember who told you that. (If the world makes it that long)

Much Love and Blessings. JR

Kayla,

How can you despise something you don't believe in (exists)?

LT

LT-Because some days I do believe and some days I just do not. So, on a day that I do believe, I despise.

You will be more disappointed without Jesus Christ nothing will go right in your life. I wish you well. If you are still reading your posts. Mary Doris

Girl,

You belong to him and you have had enough of God in your life to Never be at peace without Him. Whatever the problem, whatever the issue God is greater than your discontent or disappointments about Him. I have Always appreciated your boldness and your directness beloved and feel comfortable giving you the same. You are born again and there is no undoing that, even if you want to, so you do better going to the Lord with whatever it is that has driven you to the temporary conclusion you have come to.

I will pray for you girl, but life for the most is what we make of it, God has given us the ability and the liberty to for the most live with the consequences of our Faith.

If you want to talk, message me, you know there are folks here who love you and appreciate you very much.

Love and blessings to you my sister and friend.

P.S. God can handle your anger and anything else any of us can throw at Him, He is Beautiful.

David-

Hebrews 6:4-6 passage. “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.” So, if God does exist, then I lost my salvation.

1John 5: For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

This is what I see more than our perseverance, our preservation. We overcome by believing in Jesus and not our performance.

How do we explain Hebrews 6:4 for it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit. 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come- 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. If we say these verses are saying that true Christians that fall away are impossible to bring back to repentance then we have to rewrite much of the bible that tells us how God’s Mercy is renewed daily. ENLIGHTEN – intellectual understanding, they have receive biblical instruction. Understanding the Gospel does not mean a person is saved or regenerated. See John 1:9 where it is obvious that Jesus enlightens everyone born in the world. TASTED THE HEAVENLY GIFT – This can only be a Christian we say, but all men experience the general goodness of God, but that does not mean that they are all saved. Tasting Jesus or the Holy Spirit (the gift), the Gospel does not guarantee salvation. Many people experience a tasted (as many do today as well) the miracles of Jesus, they are around the church or church folks, but do not go beyond a taste, like the seeds that felt on the rocks or by the side way, or among the thorns etc… only one seed felt on good ground. PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT = the concept of partaking is used in 3:1, 3:14 and 12:8 of a relationship that only believers have , but the context must be the final determining factor her. This context 4-6 seems to exclude true believers. People can partake of the works (miracles) of the Holy Spirit and not accept Christ. The convicting ministry of the Holy Spirit can be rejected which makes them partakers in such way. The impossibility of THOSE THAT FALL AWAY to be RENEWED TO REPANTANCE is because they have rejected Him with full knowledge and conscious experience. With full revelation they rejected the truth such as the Pharisees did in their time.

If we want to make these verses to mean that we can lose our salvation then we have to admit that once lost, one could never get it back, for it is IMPOSSIBLE to renew them to repentance.

I think this is where some will say there are contradictions in the Word, when they read these scriptures and then turn to Isa.55.6-9 … let the wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return unto the Lord, for He will have mercy upon him and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon…

And also, Heb.10:38-39 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
