Soul food for the Day: The CENTER...

The center chapter of the BIBLE is Psalm 118.. there are 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118
And if we will add this we will get 1188... in which the center verse of the BIBLE is PSALM 118:8
What is the significant of Psalm 118:8 in God's perfect will for our lives?
It is better to trust in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.-- Psalm 118:8

When things get tough, always remember faith doesn't get you around trouble..
it gets you through it!
When you relinquish the desire to control your future you obtain happiness...

Prayer:
Father God, bless my friend in whatever it is that you know he/she may be needing this day....
May thier life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have closer relationship with you. Amen...

I am praying for you. Here is a Scripture passage I felt to share with you:
Psalms 62:5-8:
5: My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.
6: He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.
7: In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.
8: Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD. HIS LOVE
ENDURES FOREVER.
( PSALM 136:1 *NIV )

When we count all of our blessings we start to realize
how wonderful our Heavenly Father has been to us. For He not
only helps us in time of need, He blesses us abundantly as well.

Therefore we should; GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, CALL
ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS WHAT
HE HAS DONE. SING TO HIM, SING PRAISE TO HIM; TELL
OF HIS WONDERFUL ACTS. ( CHRONICLES 16:8-9 )

Further, why not start each day by counting your many
blessings, and sharing with others what God has done for you.
For King David did, for he wrote; I WILL GIVE YOU THANKS IN
THE GREAT ASSEMBLY; AMONG THRONGS OF PEOPLE I
WILL PRAISE YOU. ( PSALM 35:18 )

Be thankful for all that God has done for you, and
thank Him in your prayers! For then He will smile down on you,
like a proud Father would on an obedient child!

Now please know that: I THANK MY GOD EVERY TIME I
REMEMBER YOU. IN ALL MY PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU,
I ALWAYS PRAY WITH JOY. Amen.
( PHILIPPIANS 1:3-4 )

Mima, If something I tell you helps you, I'm glad.
I need to be reminded of things too. I wonder if there are times we all need to be reminded.
It doesn't help for me to get upset with myself. That's a battle nobody wins.
Mima, I've been married 53 years. I have 4 kids, 8 grandkids and 6 great grandkids. I figured this will help you know more about me. love, Darlene

Hi Mima, it helps me to remember Jesus is faithful all the time not just when I'm feeling good. He understands each one of us far more than we understand ourselves. In Proverbs somewhere it says He has infinate understanding.

You have a lot "on your plate" as they say. Christmas time can be stressful even for those of us who don't have a child to watch.

Someone once told me, "be gentle with yourself, you haven't walked this path before". This helped me and I hope it helps you.
love, Darlene

Hi Mima, I like to knit too, but I just knit simple things like scarves.

I've found out that even during those times when my faith isn't what I think it should be, the Lord remains faithful. Once we know Jesus as our Savior I believe we're in His hand all the time, even when we don't know it. I'm convinced He cares more about each and every one of us than we can even imagine. love, Darlene

Welcome to our fellowship group. Let's pray for one another. These are days we need to appreciate and recognize the Body of Christ to which we belong and the benefits of the fellowship we have as members of the Body of Christ. God gives us great strength as the Spirit ministers to one another through each one in the Body. God bless you, Mima.
