- My story with God
- God has always been here for me. When I was a young child, I experienced many eye problems, which led to over 25 surgeries on both of my eyes. I questioned God at first...Why me? I was/am unable to drive, am legally blind, and just unable to do some things I would love to do...such as drive my daughters around, take off with the girls to the beach for a long weekend, etc... Even though I can not do some things, God has given me many wonderful gifts. Two beautiful daughters to love and care for, a husband who is truly remarkable, and loving family and friends who are a tremendous support. God has given me these opportunities, despite my limitations. God has blessed me with the motto "It's always better to laugh, than to cry." I truly believe, or hope, others can see the strength God has given me, and hopefully they, in turn, know that God offers that same strength to them.
- Other stuff about me:
- In spite of all my limitations, God has allowed me to complete two degrees, and become Nationally Board Certified. Whew...now that was a challenge! On the days and nights when I thought I couldn't read and write any more, He empowered me and gave me strength and courage to keep at it!!!
Like I said, I have two wonderful daughters and a remarkably loving husband. He is leaving for Iraq soon. Please say special prayers that God will bring him home safely along with all of the other men and women who are overseas fighting so that we can stay safe and remain free!

Im Paige, a moderator here on TheNet. Im here as you friend to help you, encourage you, and get to know you as we walk in Him and the plan He has for us. I have read about you and all I can say is, WOW!!!! God is soo good. In the mudst of pain and loss of your sight, He has empowered you with faith and strength to keep on keepin on, and to persevere in the life He has set before you. U r a truly remarkable woman of the Lord, and a great encouragement to me and all the rest of the believers who read your life story. I thank God for you. I crave the wisdom and knowledge of REAL people who have had REAL problems who are strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Thank you for you!!!!
I struggled with many physical ailments too. Mostly self inflicted from my past before Christ. I had anorexia that almost took my life. I was abused, and raped, and I injured two lower disks in my back that Ill need surgery on,and my pelvis has been fractured in two places. I couldnt have kids because my reproductive system shut down in 1997, but when I came to Christ in 2002, I had a baby in 2004, then another one last August. Crazy? No, its just God. My life has been completely restored. I struggle sometimes, but dont ewe all?
