Hi Sandra, how wonderful to meet fellow SA Christians. We (Myself, husband Pieter and 4 beautiful children) have been living in Riyadh Saudi Arabia since May 2007. I am so happy to have found you on this site and hope to have a blessed friendship with you. Keep well and God bless!

Hi Sandra. My older sister (by 1 yr) and her Portuguese husband invited me to come and live with them on their wine and olive farm (life was lonely for my sister here, and lonely for me in SA) so, here I am. Of course I miss my country, people and culture incredibly much, and always will. I have a dear sister, also in Christ, in SA and a dear brother. But one takes the good with the bad and make the most of what you have. Threre is zero crime here, we dont even lock any doors. Its wonderful to have the Lord with me wherever I go, and although the language is a problem for me, I have many, many blessings to be thankful for. I praise His Holy Name. Without Him I am nothing. Every single day He gives me, I try to do all my little tasks to the best of my ability, to honour Him. My sister and I have a wonderful relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank Him every day for having drawn us to Him, and every day we learn more and get even closer to Him. Thanks for replying. Let me know how you are and what your´e doing. God bless!

here's a joke i got from the AAG forum to cheer you up and welcome you here-

BIGGER TURKEY-
A woman walks into a butcher's shop just before closing time and asks, "Do you have any turkey?"

The butcher opens his fridge, takes out his only turkey and puts it on the weighing scales. It weighs six pounds.

The woman looks at the turkey and at the scales and asks, "Do you have one that's a bit bigger than this one, please?" The butcher puts the turkey back into the fridge and then takes it out again, but this time when he puts it on the scales he keeps his thumb on the turkey. The scales now show eight pounds.

"That's wonderful," says the woman. "I'll take both of them, please!"

(Ha ha ha.... gotcha butcher!)

Welcome to AAG. We want your experience here to be positive and uplifting. There are a couple of things that can help you maximize your experience.

Forums and Blogs: Forums are for asking questions and for sharing a response to a question someone has posted. This is a great opportunity for “iron to sharpen iron.” Blogs are for posting an opinion, view or specific message regarding a subject.

Making New Friends: You will make many new friends here on AAG. Some will send a friend invite to you. You have the choice to accept or decline. When an invite has been sent to you the “My Friends” in the upper right box on your home page will be followed by the word “New”.” Simply click on the icon and make your choice. To invite someone to be your friend you simply need to go to their home page and click on “add as friend” under their personal photo. Once someone is your friend you will be able to email each of your friends on AAG. You can also leave a message on someone personal page, but note that everyone will be able to read what you leave there.

Chat Box: There is a chat box accessible from the bottom of every page here on AAG. It is a great place to get to know people better.

Private Chats: You can invite anyone who is on line to a private chat by clicking on their picture located at the upper right part of the page followed by clicking on “Private Chat.”.

Videos: You can also upload Christian videos on the AAG main page or watch them. They are located down the left side of the main page.
