Oh my goodness, if it's wrong, I am extremely guilty. My bibles are all highlighted, underlined and colored coordinated by crayons hahaha, for real. ohh and I have notes in every cranny of space not printed on and the covers of most are being held together by duct tape. :)
No! It is not wrong. :)
Hi, im guilty as charged i write in every bible i have owned without guilt because, it helps to learn add notes to it as the word of GOd''is spoken at a service. i even write love notes to GOD'''i write my prayers in it, secrets like a diary, its so personal to me & my relationship w/ Jesus'''.so i can agree w/ David''''''there is nothing wrong w/ this, GOD sees your heart & to think its wrong would show that a person[ may]or can turn a bible into a idol, instead of the words inside of it that give life & show us how to live Gods way'''hope that ive made sense'''here.
i hope not.. i am guilty of this.. It's our study manual..
The trouble is I have a few 'favourite' bibles.. so my notes are scattered throughout several of them.
I also do not write in mine for exactly the reason tex mentioned.....I do not want to be distracted by 'where I have been'....I see the bible as a 'living Word'......I write in a few journals and I enjoy looking back where I have been in them.....but when I open my bible I am looking for a fresh word.
That being said, I do not think it is 'wrong' in any way to write in your bible. It is just a matter of preference.
I'd be another here....and do as forgiven does write in diaries etc....the word gives me fresh understanding each day and is multi-faceted like a diamond reflecting many hues of coloured light.
But I would say that no it is not wrong to write in your bible if that takes your fancy.
Definitely not!!! what wrong is not taking notes and assuming that you will remember all those important points.
some say that our bible is also reflects our spirituality. Most Unused and unscratched bible is a sign of lazy and immature owner.
Used up Bible has also a used up and spilled out owner.
hope not. But when I read pages have to make sure I don't
skip unhighlighted parts. Alot of pages are all marked on though.
Helps to remember what I saw, when I marked or wrote on the scripture.
