I know I still have a lot to know about the Bible and what God wants, but when I have a friend says he prefers to more or less be his own god i.e. he knows right from wrong and tries to do right but doesn't believe in Christ, is it my right as a believer in Christ to explain to him that what he believes is not the truth? I know that God's timing is way better than any of ours and that It is by the Grace of God that we are saved, but also shouldn't we confess the truth to non-believers so that they may believe as well? Of course I don't mean degrading them or their beliefs. I just don't know how to deal with it sometimes when a friend says they don't believe, I want to speak up to them and let them know to do the right thing but I really don't know if I'm at that point where I'm capable of speaking the things the the Lord wants me to speak. I'm not afraid of being prosecuted for His names sake, and I feel like I know the New Testament enough to be able to answer questions and explain it well but I just can't seem to decide between whether or not to speak my beliefs or to just be quiet and continue to strengthen my own Faith and knowledge in the Lord and Bible... or to do both? Please any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Donald,
You have shown tremendous humility in posting this discussion. The humility is a beautiful thing, and Christ will honor all your efforts. Don't be afraid to make mistakes.. God uses them. Also, when you do share Jesus......don't be afraid to talk about sin. When a person sees their own sin compared to God's perfection and perfect standard, it is then that they realize their own need for a Saviour. As long as your friend is asking questions, I say ...answer them. Don't force yourself on them..but with Grace, compassion and Love not forsaking the truth tell them about Jesus. Blessings, Carla
ps--i pray the Lord will open doors for you and that you will have special favor amongst your group of friends who don't know the Lord yet. :-)
Heavenly Father,
Thank you Lord for bring Donald to yourself. You are Awesome and Amazing Father God, and You never cease to amaze us as you transform hearts and as you soften and draw many of your children back to yourself. I live in Awe of You God. Father, I lift up Donald to You now, and I thank You for the amount of faith that you have given Him. I pray Father, that you will use Donald in a mighty way for Your Glory and for Your kingdom purposes. I pray that Donald will learn to effectively share the true gospel of Your Glorious precious Son..our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. Father, open doors for him, grant him special favour that his testimony of Your faithfulness will be trusted. I thank You Lord that he is not living fearful of persecution for Your name sake, and i pray Lord that when this persecution does come that you would strengthen him to withstand the attacks of the enemy, and that Donald's testimony will only be strengthened and his faith increased as he stands for you daily in the midst of persecution. I pray that for his testimony, many others will come to a life saving knowledge of who You are Lord. I ask and pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Donald,
Start out telling your friend how YOU feel now that you are a child of God's, a believer in Jesus Christ. Rather than telling him what he's doing wrong, tell him what you're doing right. When you get to a question you can't answer, tell him you will find the answer and then do precisely that.
When your friend sees what you have, he might want to have it as well. You never know until you try.
Blessings in the Name of Christ Jesus...
Rita
