Thank you robbin, I hear you very clear, I will continue on  a close bf friendship, I trust in him with that, sometimes, I just see and hear so much and its time for me not to base friendships of the world and no one is not perfect, god is good and now I know I will have  and be blessed with one, someday:) thanks again.

If you are marry - your best friend should be your hubby. If you are not, then you should build strong bonds with other Mature Christian women. :)

F - Friends Forgive: Luke 17:3-4

Friends forgive one another

Friends forgive because they have love for one another

Friends forgive because the relationship is important to them

 

R - Friends Are Reliable:

Friends are trustworthy

Friends are dependable

 

I - Friends Are Involved

Friends are involved in each others lives

The more involved, the deeper the relationship is

The more involved, the deeper the relationship grows

Friends don’t have to ask for help…they are already there.

The one in need will be approached by their friend and offered help

 

E - Friends Encourage: 1 Th. 4:18; 5:11; Hebrews 3:13; 10:25

Friends encourage one another

Encouragement builds up

Encouragement is an expression of love

Encouragement: True, unsolicited kind words.

 

N - Friends Never Fail - 1 Corinthians 13:8a

Friends never accuse

Friends never backbite

Friends never gossip or break confidence

Friends are never jealous of each other

(Note: we are works in progress and fall short of this, but this is our goal)

 

D - Friends Are Devoted: Romans 12:10

Friends are devoted to the relationship

Friends are devoted to the others good

Define "Devoted"

 

S - Friends Are Selfless: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7; Acts 2:42

A friend thinks of the other person before themselves - Selfless

Friends sacrifice without question

Sacrifice physically

Sacrifice financially

Friends share without question

Share possessions

Share emotionally

 

Jesus is the perfect example of a true friend and much more:

Jesus forgives us when we ask

Jesus rebukes us when we need it

Jesus is involved in our lives daily

Jesus is the ultimate encourager

Jesus never fails

Jesus is devoted

Jesus is selfless

I only have two best friends, my lovely wife Georgene and God.

Besides my children, I have many friends. I see some weekly, some monthly, others every few years. But a best friend, I reserve that for my wife. I live each day to make her happy and serve my Lord. I know that sounds sappy, but I found being married to my best friend doesn't set me up for disapointment.

Other friends of mine have varied background and interests. Some very different than mine. I think the key to having friends is to be true to youself and your beliefs. I true friend will love you for it.

If you are feeling lonely,talk it over with your hubby. He may not know it...we can be pretty dense.

Just be who you are. Let Jesus be your best friend. Others will follow.

Gary now thats what I like, yes, my hubby is my true BF and GOD, sometimes that ugly sense of needing some kind of girlfriend best friend  it gets the best of me, when hes working and I just want to hang out, I like the couple gatherings and well women, I have huge issue and Im praying on that, which i didnt have a good experience with friends concerning women, your right hubby does give me some good answers, thanks again.

I JUST HAD A TALK WITH MY LOVELY BRIDE. SHE SOMETIMES FEELS AS YOU DO. SHE ASSURED ME I AM HER BEST FRIEND BUT I TEND TO WANT TO FIX THINGS FOR HER RATHER THAN JUST LISTEN. I GUESS I HAVE A LITTLE WORK TO DO AS WELL.
