All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

There are many people over the centuries who never heard the Gospel.

What will God's judgement be on them? Also what of those in O.T. times

who were never reached by the Books of Moses and the Prophets?

The Gospel Has Been Preached

Romans 10:17-18
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Romans 16:25-26
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

26But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Colossians 1:5-6
5For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

6Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

Colossians 1:23
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Abba Father God does draw his chosen all over the world to King Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and the wise- obey Acts 5:32, Hebrews 5:9) For all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you John 15:15-16... The Holy Ghost, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance John 14:26

1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

hi Ron

it's easy to see how, one could think people could die without hearing the message of Jesus, but then there would have to be a second plan of salvation, for them to go to heaven, but, because there is only one way to get into heaven, which is the blood of Jesus, and God says, "He wants no one to perish", how could God desire this if he didn't tell the person, for if they knew not, and they had no opportunity, then they would be predestined to hell, then the statement that God wants, none to perish must be wrong, i believe we have an incredible responsibility to reach the lost, who ever, God sends us to, and if we are disobedient and refuse to go, he will have someone else raised up to go in our place, for the lost much be reached, food for thought love ya bro.

This may be slightly off topic or an *aside* but what we need, what the united States needs are more missionaries.

Churches send missionaries to many foreign countries but is there any that send missionaries to various parts of the USA to reach the lost?

Blessings,
Rita
Rita,

There are two parts to answering your question. 1) There are some countries who are now sending missionaries to the US. 2) Church planters are viewed as missionaries in a sense. Most church planters will move to a new community with the goal of reaching the lost by sharing the gospel to the unchurched. The unchurched in the US is comprised of two groups. Those born in the US and who have not had a signiifcant gospel witness in their lives and those born outside of the US who are moving here and who have not had a significant gospel witness in their lives.

Hope this helps.

hi Rita

i don't know of any churches that do, which is indeed sad, but along with that, how many really do reach out, to the lost, as we are supposed to? so incourage every one you can to reach out to the lost.

I was watching a christian television channel a few weeks ago and I saw an evangelstic outreach of Chinese Christians (from mainland China!) to the USA.  Thirty years ago, if you had told me I would see that someday, I wouldn't have comprehended it.  In the denomination to which I belong, it seems that virtually every national and ethnic group thinks it currently is obligated to evangelize the USA and Great Britain, but they are mostly talking about spreading reform to what they see as corrupt, liberal church groups, not true evangelization.  Actually, for the past 1900 years it's been pretty difficult to NOT hear The Gospel in the "civilized" world.  I was once dragged to a meeting where money was being raised for people who had a very expensive, high-tech way to take the Gospel via modern multi-media methods to people in the Baltic States who supposedly had "never been exposed to the Gospel".  I was ostracized when I tried to point out that these methods were offending the older people in the established churches in these areas where Christ had been believed and worshipped for more than a thousand years before the USA existed.
