All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I did it again. For about the nth already.

I'm so ashamed of this sin. I think it's the root of my problems but I don't really know. I feel so dejected and disheartened. It's been repeating over and over and over and over. It just has no end. It stops for a while then comes back to terrorize me again. I feel I have no voice because of this. It's so humiliating. I can't talk about it with anyone, not even my parents.

Temptation can never be killed, but can be denied. I have such a difficult time denying it. I'm so frustrated. :(

Thank you so much for the explanation! I really understand it now. It is really reassuring to know these verses.
I really appreciate your effort in explaining. Two thumbs up! :-bd

God bless!
I think when we deal with the same thing over and over again, it is actually a stronghold in our lives, and God has given us an additional tool to deal with that, and that is fasting. Do some research on the benefits of this discipline, and incorporate it into your walk, I think you will begin to see amazing things happen, and it will be well worth the effort.

And never think that you have to hold anything in. When we do, it gives Satan an advantage, Jesus said that he had incurred all things that are common to man, so, he too faced whatever you are facing...and he overcame it.

It is his desire that we become overcomers....and to do that, we must have something to overcome. Do not be ashamed.... just realize that sin is sin....and you want it out of your life. Do not be afraid to confess it to Jesus. He knows how many hairs are on your head, and when a sparrow falls.... he knows the thoughts and intents of the heart.....so... there is nothing that he does not already know, and he loves us still.

Do not allow fear to manipulate and control you, as fear is not of God... it is actually the exact opposite of faith...so, when it comes knocking....speak scripture to it... and tell Satan that he is a defeated foe... because your Jesus defeated him 2000 years ago.....on a hill called Mt. Calvary.

Read the back of the book...WE WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very inspiring!!! I love it. This means so much to me. All of the time I have been ashamed of confession and have been afraid of Satan's approach. Thank you so much. :)

God bless Gayla! You are really very knowledgeable of the Bible. That's pleasing to know. :D
I know that feeling of shame for not being able to leave that one sinful desire my flesh always seems to win on. You just have to get up and dust yourself off and move forward.
You are so right. I shouldn't let myself be dragged down completely. :)
I am a recovering addict, the battles is unbelieveable. I have been to prison 7 times, because the drugs that I have such a problem denying, You would think that wouldn't even been one of the options. Then I learnt who Jesus is and what He did for me. Things come over me and I, turn my back on what I know could send me straight back prison, and that God gave up His only Son, to keep me from going to hell. Then when I fall, and give into sin, it's not my family or my freedom, but that I disobeying God. I only have this chance to get my relationship right with God, but when I think about that, I'm sure He no doubt, knows the turmoil that I feel when this happens, I know that, when the time is right in my life, there won't even be thoughts that enter my mind that will take me away from my all forgiving Savior. I repent, pray and have faith that it is possible to say no to the things we know only bring shame, pain, and loss of freedom in Jesus or our society.
That's very understanding of you to share your struggles with me. I appreciate it greatly. I feel your pain too, and I too, understand you.

We just have to know that God loves us and wants us back in His arms. :D

God bless Sheila. :)
I just wanna say Im as in your case now..so many temptations running to me,I totally have no idea!
Even so,I sitll try to chill out to finding a way out.
After all,time will tell..
God has a plan for you!Believe that he loves you so much that he won't give you up!
We are with you!
Peace:)
Yes. I do believe no one is totally free from temptation, but we can choose who to obey.
That is very true! God will never forsake us!
Thank you so much for the support!

God bless SaraChoo!

THE WORD GOD IS SPIRIT AND POWERFUL... SO USE THE WORD OF GOD TO OVERCOME THE TEMPTATION...

THEN THE DEVIL WILL FLEE YOU! BUT HAVE FAITH IN WHAT THE LORD SAID TO YOU...

Here is a quote from David Velasquez "You have been missed and Praise God that His never gonna stop calling His children back home".

I decided to fully commit myself to the Lord Jesus Christ, Jan, 2010.

My life reflects Jesus, people have seen the change in me.

I would have never turned to God, as I did, if it was not for the fear and torment, I let in. You don't wan't that, brother.

Turn to God, get a prayer partner you can trust. A REAL Christian that you can share with. If you have accountability, and can call someone, that helps.

John

but in a way, my innocence has left too.

I know sometimes life was easier as a non-Christian. Too many ghosts in my closet too. Keep trusting in Jesus would be my reply to this. Blessings to you
