PROGRESSING THROUGH THE NARROW GATE

Walking with Christ in this world is not easy because of the very fact that we are in the enemies territory on this planet (the wide gate).With Christ IN us as Born Again Christians however we can resist the sin and destruction that seems to be all around us every day by staying in the word, prayer and our ever closening relationship with God (the narrow gate).When we learn to become even stronger we can wear the full armour of God. He will equip us with all that we need. It is the very reason that once we choose to live for HIM we must not let the garden go to weed. Just like a garden, the Spirit in us now thirsts for constant nourishment and must be nourished. Going through the Narrow Gate does not mean we walk through it and everything is fine and dandy and that is all there is to it. The trees need water, the plants need nutrients which means that even the soil must be good soil. To have that good soil and to maintain it so that the seeds can grow into strong and well rooted trees means constant replenishment.

More and more we see the enemy turning society into a "TOO BUSY" place to be able to maintain that garden so that time we would spend nourishing the Spirit would be spent giving ourselves an excuse to be lax or lazy. No time or energy to tend the garden.Wow,is that sneaky or what? If we are just standing under the threshold of that narrow gate and not walking down the narrow road that is the road to life, our growth is being stunted and keeping us from growing strong.

Revelation speaks of the end times as we all know, where will you be if those times were to come tomorrow? Quite simply put, I myself do not want to be just standing under the threshold of the narrow gate (a weak limb) to be broken off in the torrent of evil and just two steps away from the road that leads to destruction and I shudder to think of our Heavenly Father saying to me "I never knew you."

Please Family In Christ, stay strong, stay free from the influence of this world and keep tending the garden, nourishing the Spirit every chance you have. Besides, there is GREAT JOY to be found in standing strong with Christ.

CHOOSING LIFE INVOLVES GOOD SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT!!!!
