I became a member of a church to sort of settle down, God had said I was not to do so as He requires me to be free as an eagle to go and do His good pleasure, so Im free once more.
John the Baptist was the last of such prophets, in the order of Old Testament prophets. The church was not established yet. Christ started the church through the Holy Spirit.
You are part of God's bride, the Church whether you want to or not if you call God father. To say that God calls you out of the church means you are not part of His body. God does not contradict Himself. He will not say in one place that He commands you to fellowship and that He has set Teachers, Preachers, Evangelist, Prophets and Pastors for the edification of the saints and then ask you to fly solo. We are not called to do that. We must be submissive to the authorities God has put in place. To go against that is to be in rebellion.
If someone desires to serve God they must abide by what God commands.
Ok - I got you now, but I am concerned because many in Christian sites have problems with fellowshipping in actual community churches and seek fellowshipping here only.
But administration and folks like me become concerned about that because to fellowship in a community church is an irreplaceable experience. Of course I have a grand time with my Lord in my house or on the moon, but I trust you know what I mean. I understand there are multiple reasons one may go through a season without fellowship, but I would hope is not out of hurts and resentments against the church in general, when one can always find a new place to fellowship.
I trust you know my heart in this from the multiple exchanges we had in the past.
ohhh boy! God bless us all with a submissive, obedient and Christ like Spirit.
Philippians 2
5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father
By all means do not stay under false doctrine, but do not use that freedom to hide issues you may have with the Church in general. Instead seeks God's face and obey His word.
