Mirandaa,

Thanks for sharing and reminding us that we do bring God joy. You know at times I concentrate so much on my inadequacies that I think if anything the Lord is shaking His head and rolling His eyes at me. So thanks for reminding me that we do bring Him joy. I needed that.

Most of the time, I suspect He is pointing you out to the angels, saying, "That's My boy!" Of course, then you tell one of your jokes.... *Divine forehead slap*

Seriously though, I frequently find myself kicking myself with self-doubt and/or self-recrimination. The solution for me has been to pray, "God, You knew what You were getting when You picked me -- a wonderful opportunity to practice Your patience and grace!"

And I remind myself of the apostles James and John....

"When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, 'Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?'" (Luke 9:54, NASB)

Even the apostles were...well...err.... And that's John!! who later became known as "The Apostle of Love"!!!

"With God, all things are possible". I wonder who Jesus was looking at, when He said that.... Hmmm...

My jokes are for my own amusement since anyone a bit normal would probably not understand the wacky world of Dave hehe I be cracking myself up tho man. hahahaaha Ohhh and just like God has to excersise patience and grace with us, you guys have to practice it with me hahahaha

I think God enjoys us most when we remember who we are and Who He is.

I feel sure that He must laugh at some of the things we come up with, especially when we come up with something "off the wall" as we laugh when our children and grandchildren come up with things.

My 5 year old grandson asked his dad yesterday morning, "Do you love me, Daddy?" Son-in-law answered, "Yes, because you're 'the man'.' My grandson then asked, "Well. what about Mama?" Son-in-law said, Why, she's 'the man' too!"

As we are growing in our knowledge of God, I am sure we come up with ideas about the Father and His ways that brings a smile to His Face. I pray for smiles and love from the Father but never His wrath.
