How is it that we are joing many different churches, and yet we claim of going into the same direction - Christ? In my place, these issues are very common. My late mom once said that, we should not convert into other churches because the church that we are following is the right one? And what about other religions? As we can see, every religion claimsto its followers that it is the only right religion and teachings to be followed. How can we describe and sort out from this? Do not get me wrong, for i am just seeking for an answer to clarify my doubts.
Stanley I know that Church will never safe your soul after judgement but your deeds will determine where you will be.
Just follow the ten commandments and make sure the doctrines of your church does not conflict with it.If it does then you should know that the church might not be God's church or might not be from God.
LT,
I have been richly blessed by the comments that you have made throughout this thread. My church is an issue to me, by some of the things they do or teach, but, God in His goodness, has given me a thirst for His Word so...if my church is teaching the Word of God, which it probably is, and accepting Christ as Savior is the only way, which that is also true, I should be able to deal with the smaller issues and irritations that are in this church. I simply study on my own. And I come in hear and listen to what you all say, which further teaches me.
Each church will naturally teach that it is the only right one.
You are correct in saying that each person will change as they grow in the Lord. I have and I am (changing) and I thank God for each change that I make. We are all a work in progress which may be completed when we reach heaven or our learning may continue.
I think what you are stressing is the point that we believe in the essentials to be saved, and continue growing from that point, and I couldn't agree with that more.
I will go back to my church with a different viewpoint because what you have posted here.
