BEWARE OF FALSEHOOD CLOAKED IN TRUTH

I admit that I am only young in my faith and have so very much to learn about putting on the whole armour of God but recently this truth could not have hit home any closer.

Then almost immediately afterwards a Christian sister and myself decided to go shopping at a Christian bookstore after lunch one day after we had lunch together. I saw this one book that so completely stood out. I passed by it several times but God, it seems, would not allow me to leave that store without it.

So being obedient, not to mention intrigued by the book I bought it along with several others.

Oh there have been times I have been fooled, God forgive me and that is why we keep Him ever so close and keep our eyes focused on Jesus.

I Thank God this day for all that He has taught me as He has made me realize He has brought me farther than even I myself knew. I desire more and more to be like Jesus.

After several recent attacks I have felt the need to write this especially when it has been confirmed. It is for the Body of Christ. The Body we are to be in unity with in love always.

Even accompanied by seeds of truth, evil is not to enter the church. We are not to be passive or “Middle of the Road” regarding what we accept.

PROVERBS 8:13

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS TO HATE EVIL.

To compromise with evil is WRONG, even sinful.

The enemy sneaks in through evil with only one goal “to steal, and kill and to destroy”

JOHN 10:10

10 THE THIEF DOES NOT COME EXCEPT TO STEAL, AND TO KILL AND TO DESTROY. I HAVE COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE, AND THAT THEY MAY HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY

This goal the enemy has applies to individuals as well as the church alike, and we must take an active stance of defence against his never ceasing schemes.

I THANKYOU GOD for teaching me to be passionate and hating what He hates.

I now KNOW that this is what God wants us to do but it must be tempered by love and with love.

We can often take that passion and be drawn into arguments and division and that is not what God wants. It is indeed falsehood attempting to sneak past truth and bring us down.

God wants UNITY within the Body of Christ. He also wants us to use that same love to help draw people and plant the seeds for salvation among those who do not know Him. We can plant seeds and water but only God can make those seeds grow so we must also learn when it is time to “LET GO AND LET GOD” do HIS WORK!!!

Many churches today are “Fence sitters” and the congregation refuses to reconcile God and the world, trying to keep friendly relations with both of them.

Some churches resist the Holy Spirit in order to keep neutral.

We know what Jesus says about this!!!

MATTHEW 12: 30

WHOEVER IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME, AND WHOEVER DOES NOT GATHER WITH ME SCATTERS.

God wants us to wear His armor but let us always remember that harsh words and cynicism have no place in that armor.

RECOGNIZE WHEN THE enemy IS SNEAKING IN BECAUSE he IS VERY SNEAKY INDEED

Good morning Nancy,
The devil is indeed sneaky! We must stand in the gap ... we must support one another as sisters and brothers in Christ. It is so hard , sometimes , to recognize evil ... falsehood ... when it is "cloaked in truth." There is a line our Lord has drawn in the sand. "You can not serve two masters." Many church goers leave idols of the world to come into the sanctuary on the very same day. They seem to be caught unaware. The prophet of old said , " How long will you wavier between two opinions? If Jehovah is God then serve Him. But if Baal is god then serve him." It is no different today. As Christ followers we must be preparing to be the bride of Christ and in doing so we must divorce the world. Many will be caught unaware on the Lord's return ... just like in the parable Jesus gave of the virgins and the oil to be kept in the lamp. We only keep oil in our lamps when we spent time in His presence ... in the Word ... in prayer . Our worship must be in spirit and in truth ... everyday ... not just on Sun and Weds.
Evil can and does enter the church building ... we must understand WE are the temple of the Living God ... the church building only becomes a place of worship as we enter it. Only God can see into our hearts ... only He knows who are truly His. That is why we don't have true unity in the church building...because not all those that enter the doors are truly His.
Yes we plant seed by our witness ... Yes we pray for the church body ... and we should also guard ourselves from becoming deceived. I pray a prayer before I enter the church doors ... "I only want to receive what is from you Jesus."
I ask for protection ... I place a hedge around myself and I rebuke the spirit of bondage, oppression and fear. As time draws closer to the return of our Lord the battle will become even more intense. We need to be used as His vessels ... to show His love ... to be His light ... we also need to remember to be the salt. The Lord will guide us into the truth if we stay close to Him He will lead us into the battle ... defeating all His adversaries. It is His war ... and like you said sometimes we need to just allow God to do what only God can do.
