Hi Rick, thanks for your question. The sinfulness and depravity of mankind is a universal condition effecting all people, everywhere and of every religion, including Muslims and even those merely professing to be Christian. The Bible says, "For all have sinnned; all fall short of God's glorious standard" and "...the wages of sin is death;" that is, eternal separation from God in Hell (Romans 3:23; 6:23, NLT).
Not only that, but all people everywhere are born in a sinful state, separated from God and deserving of hell: “So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, Adam.... Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man” (1 Corinthians 15:21-22). All people, everywhere regardless of what religion they profess or don't profess stand condemned from the very beginning: "...whoever does not believe stands condemned already... " (John 3:18).
So, people whether Muslim, or unreligious, or even "cultural Christians" are not going to hell because they worship a false God, but because they are sinners and have not yet accepted God's remedy for sin and entered into a right relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.
Who is going to hell? This is a question that secretly lingers in the thoughts of many, though they may never admit to it. Outwardly, many scoff at even the idea of hell, yet inwardly there is still the question, "What if there really is a hell?" If there is a hell and it is a real place, then the question must be asked, "Who is going to hell?"
Hell is a place of sorrow and torment. This truth is seen throughout the Bible in the Old and New Testaments. "The sorrows of hell compassed me about..." (Psalm 18:5 KJV). "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments…" (Luke 16:23).
It is difficult for many people to reconcile the existence of a place like hell with a good and loving God. It is an affront to many and an excuse to withhold their worship from God. They don't want to think that God may actually send people to hell. However a close and honest study of the Bible will show us that hell was not created for people, it was prepared for the arch enemy of God, Satan (or the devil.)
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels'"(Matthew 25:41). Unfortunately, Satan, as the archenemy of God, has spent all of his existence seeking to turn men away from God. When Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden at the instigation of Satan (Genesis 3), all of mankind was plunged into a state of spiritual death. Even though they were physically alive, they were dead with respect to the Holy God for whom they were created, with whom they were to have fellowship and communion.
As a result, God had to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to take away man's sin and reconcile him back to God. All of God's repugnance to sin and hatred of evil was inflicted upon the Son of God on Calvary, where Jesus was crucified; mankind was spared that wrath. All God asks us to do is accept Jesus and the unspeakable sacrifice that God made of His Son. This is an act of faith, which recognizes that we are sinners and the only way for redemption is through that sacrifice.
Whenever a person rejects this sacrifice, in essence he is aligning himself with the enemy of God. God says in His Word that the final destiny of Satan is hell. "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit" (Isaiah 14:12-15).
Who will go to hell? Satan will, for sure. But just as Satan rejected and opposed himself to God, and was relegated to that place of torment, the one who refuses to accept Christ will also share his destiny and subject himself to the wrath of God.
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God" (Psalms 9:17). Contrary to what many believe and teach, it is not because a person has committed any particular sin; it is rejection of the Son of God that causes a person to end up in hell. After God allowed His Son to be massacred through crucifixion and showed His great power by raising Him from the dead, after He did all this to bring us back to Himself, if we fail to believe in Christ, we are lost.
"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son" (John 3:18).
Who goes to hell and who does not is strictly in the domain of God Himself. The question should be: Does God's mercy and grace extend to Muslims and how will He use us to reach them.
Hi Rick, We are blessed to know the only true God, but we are also told not to judge anyone else as only God knows the heart plus we run the risk of becoming sanctimonious and self-righteous which is not what God wants us to be. having said that I am very grateful I am a Christian!
By the way...fire in the Bible is symbolic of judgement, not a literal fire where people are burned night and day. Strange idea that....how can a dead person's spirit burn? And if it could, how can it burn eternally, it would surely burn up to "spiritual ashes" in a few minutes?
Jesus does not say anyone's spirit will burn. He says that all will be resurrected. The resurrection body is demonstrated to be a body without the temporal limitations we current experience.
We cant condemn someone as to say they have no hope of salvation that is opposite of what a Christian is to do. I will assume you are speaking of the use of hell as being lake of fire. 2nd death only happens at the End of the Lord's day. after 1000 yrs of discipline. All will know better at that time. If one still doesnt embrace the sacrifice at that time they will go into the lake of fire.
Christians need to know of the filth of islam and I suggest they visit the group Lions den at www.friendsnchrist.ning.com
Example
1) there is a rule of abregation in islam (real islam embraces terror and murder)
2) islam teaches deception and lies as a tactic for many reasons!
3) Mohammad claims to be equal to Christ (a prophet)
4)cant take friends of Jews or Christians
5) spread islam by force

Our God is a Triune God. If one worships a god that isn't a triune God, he is worshipping the wrong god. God, without Jesus and the Holy Spirit isn't God, therefore that god is a False god. Because Muslim/Islam worship a single god, they are worshipping a false god. There is no excuse because God, in Genesis 1, describes Himself as a Triune God.
The hate isn't for members of Muslim/Islam religion...it is the religion of Muslim/Islam itself, that shows no mercy on anyone not embracing it's beliefs.
Christianity is built on Christ and on Love of mankind. The Muslims/Islamics have no such belief. I think it is grossly unfair to accuse Christianity for hatred of other people when it's the religion itself that people hate.Or, at least, that is how I feel about other people. I harbor no hate for them, only the ideology of their religion, a religion meant to destroy others who do not embrace it.
The only way to draw others to Christ and away from this false religion is LOVE. It won't ever be accomplished with hate.
