I watch the movie, but I had to look away at some parts, they were to sad to watch. It's amazes me that our Lord would go through such a suffering for us. What an amazing love. I watched the movie a few hours ago and my heart is still overwhelmed with feelings.

Good Movie? Gut wrenching, life changing, reaching into the very core of self. With thoughts of He did this for me, it should be me. He never deserved this, I do.

I am looking for the Jesus movie. I think it was made in the 70's somewhere and was based on the Gospel according to Luke. I remember when I was little the TV network here in SA used to air it almost every year round Easter time. If anybody can help I would be very grateful.

On youtube there is a movie called Jesus of Nazareth - 1977. Not sure if that's the movie you are looking for.

Thanks Linda! Yes I think that is precisely the one I was looking for! I don't know of any other such movies that was made in that time so that must be it. I must have been about 9 or 10 when I saw that the first time and it made an incredible impact on me. I want it for my children. There is so much trash on TV nowadays! We don't even watch TV anymore, and I doubt that that kind of movie will ever be aired here in my country again. Our authorities are so busy being tollerant of other religions and beliefs that us Christians are being left on the way-side!

I just bought the 'Jesus' movie from the Christian online bookstore.. It is very well done.. I recommend it!
