Just believing in God won't get you into heaven remember even satan believes in God and every demon in hell also believes in God because they were their with Him before they fell out of grace

being baptised won't get anyone in heaven, John 3:16 says that for whom so ever, and that means you have to make a personal relationship with the Lord jesus Christ because it is by grace we are saved and not by good works or baptisim,
if a person ask jesus into his/her life and admits they are a sinner and doesn't deserve to go to heaven and invites Him to be their Lord and Saviour and repent of their sins and are sorry for them then and only then will you be saved or born again.

That is a question that I always wanted to know because I know Jesus is our savior that takes away our sins but what about after we read the truth but don't have faith in the word and continue to sin? Do we get forgiven again because Jesus is our savior? What if we repent again and is serious this time but then again next week we do it again? By the grace of God I was looking at your discussion and I found Melissa web link. As I was doing research by looking up verses in the bible that was with the link, I look in my bible and ended up finding this. Hebrews 10:14,17,18 "because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. Then he adds: Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more. And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin". But that is not all this is the other half I learned today. Hebrew 10:26 "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God". Now that is powerful and scary. I hope we all can be wise and help each other be strong so that we will not go back into the darkness. May God bless everyone and guide them back to him. Amen.
