At the risk of going off on a rabbit trail here...I will briefly respond to your post regarding the sabbath, but there are other forums here which discuss this if you should care to go into it further. However, you are also welcome to begin any discussion in the forum on your own...I invite you to.
Regarding the sabbath we are told this; Colossians 2:16–17
16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
and this..
Romans 14:5
5 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
Sabbath keeping is a matter of Spiritual freedom, on this we are not to judge one another, but we must be convinced in our own minds. It was an OT command... This freedom came in with the New Covenant.
2 Corinthians 3:17
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Would you consider an open dialogue discussion on this matter? I can't imagine a relationship or a conversation taking place where it is... 'I have said my piece..now it is done...' Jesus instructs us to be relational with one another, always in a loving way.
Rest assured. you have not upset me...I don't understand however, why you do not want to discuss this further.
Barbara,
The Answer Carla is looking for can be answered in one simple statement.
When people have to refer to links and not get to the point, or give a direct
answer. Then we show concern, because those who do not give a straight forward and
simple answer, are to all intents and purposes: "Unable to". It is this that concerns us.
Further to this you even change the question by raising another question
namely worship on the 7th day. This appears to be avoiding the question.
Barbara please tell us what you know about the Gospel (Good News) pertaining
to Jesus Christ. We need to know your thoughts please.
Now let me add a further note to this...... All sinners will go to Hell, but not all sinners will be punished equally
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Luke 12:46-48
