You need pray for your friends. Pray that God touches them in Love. Once you have encountered the love of God, you will never look back. I dont know if showing them scripture will work or not work. I know that before I was saved, you could show me any verse, and I didnt care nor beleive. Until you find the love of God, you dont know that you need it. Once you have found Gods love and accepted him as your Lord and savior, and become spirit filled, the Holy Ghost will show you and guide you on scripture and your walk with God.

Hi Christine.

Do you believe that the bible is God's Holy Word? If you do, then you will believe what Jesus says here:

Jhn 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Jhn 3:17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
Jhn 3:18 "There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.


Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Rom 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Deu 13:1 "Suppose there are prophets among you, or those who have dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles,
Deu 13:2 and the predicted signs or miracles take place. If the prophets then say, `Come, let us worship the gods of foreign nations,'
Deu 13:3 do not listen to them. The LORD your God is testing you to see if you love him with all your heart and soul.
Deu 13:4 Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.

Deu 30:15 "Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between prosperity and disaster, between life and death.
Deu 30:16 I have commanded you today to love the LORD your God and to keep his commands, laws, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and become a great nation, and the LORD your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.
Deu 30:17 But if your heart turns away and you refuse to listen, and if you are drawn away to serve and worship other gods,
Deu 30:18 then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a long, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.

Christine there are so many verses in the bible like this...The entire bible is the story from the beginning to the end of God's Love for us, and His plan to be with us forever in Eternity. People who don't believe have been blinded....

2Cr 4:4 Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
2Cr 4:5 We don't go around preaching about ourselves; we preach Christ Jesus, the Lord. All we say about ourselves is that we are your servants because of what Jesus has done for us.

2Cr 3:16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away.
2Cr 3:17 Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom.

There is so much scripture here...But certain questions such as this can only be answered with God's Words....anything else would be useless human opinion. I believe that the bible is 'God Breathed', therefore, It is powerful and true and alive and working in people's lives today. God created the world by His Word....He spoke the Universe and everything into it into Existence, And His Glorious Power is alive and Still the same. He is the same. Yesterday, Today and Forever! Do not be sucked into the lies of the enemy! Trust in Jesus!

I have given you all this scripture for your sake....If your friends have asked are open to receiving it, by all means share it with them....But, to agree with what Brooke says also.....God's Word says this:

Mat 7:6 "Don't give what is holy to unholy people.* Don't give pearls to swine! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

If they are asking you, find out why they want to know...Often times people who are not believers will just want to disagree with you and start an argument...don't get tricked by such behaviour.

Good Day,
Watching the Christian Channels on TV..... there is a group who use the following method when coming across people who think they are good people.

They ask these "Good people" if they know the 10 Commandments. NORMALLY THEY DON'T.

They then say": "Well OK, one of the commandments is: You shall not lie. Have you ever told a lie in your life? Please be honest." Invariably the person knows that everyone has told a lie or lies, so their answer is: "Yes"..... Next commandment asked is Blasphemy, then theft and adultery, not necessarily in that order.. But it's best to start with the more common commandments first. (The ones that we all fail or failed in.)
They work there way through most of the commandments which normally receives answers affirming their sins. etc.
The outcome is that they are then able to confront the person and say:
"On your OWN admission, you confirmed that you are a lying, thieving, blaspheming adulterer. Do you still believe you are a good person?"

This is one of the easiest and most fruitful ways of confronting people with their sins without being rude because people find themselves admitting their faults and begin to realise the depths of their sins.
Especially when they are made to realise that by looking at a person with sexual thoughts is according to the Bible, adultery. A sin which I believe everyone similar to lying, is guilty of. Blasphemy as well as all the other commandments.

This helps Christians to present their case for Jesus to someone who has suddenly been enlightened to his/her true position outside of Christ.

Hi Bev,
Well I am sure you know the answer to your first question.
When they ask: "Have you broken these commandments?"
Your answer is: "YES... I have and deserved to receive the punishment due to me.
You add to the above by telling them: "If I had stolen something and was caught, I would have to go to court and there I would be judged Guilty and fined or go to Jail.. But what if I had no money and someone in the courthouse felt sorry for me and paid the fine for me? Would I be free to go? Yes definitely the fine was paid and the court would be satisfied. So likewise when I sin against God and break His commandments. How would or could I ever pay God back?
The punishment that God places on a sinner is: "The soul that sins will die"...... Thank You Father in that Jesus Christ came and died in my place...."
Then the question to ask them is: "Who is going to pay for your sins?

In my example about someone paying for my fine..... There was one BIG problem.....
I could not leave the courthouse until I was given the receipt to show it was paid in full.
Likewise Our receipt is Jesus Christ who paid for ALL our sins. If He has never been invited to become your Saviour then you have no receipt. The question to them is "Do you have a receipt or will you pay for your sins yourself?

Enough is enough depends on you... Some people can witness to others and the "others" enjoy it. There are some people who can witness to others only once and asked to "Shut-up".
But don't despair... The more you witness the easier it will get. You will develop a style that does not annoy people.
Prayer should go out to God the moment you know that you are talking to a non Believer.
"LORD CREATE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO SPEAK TO THIS PERSON, EVEN IF IT IS SIMPLY A SIMPLE WORD OR SENTENCE THAT WILL HAVE THEM THINKING ABOUT THEIR OWN ETERNAL DESTINY AS THEY WALK AWAY.

It says in the Bible that Jesus said "...no one can come to the father, BUT THROUGH ME. Thats what Jesus said, and Him ,being a perfect man of God, can not lie. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and what He says is true and if He say He is the way the truth and the life, then I'm gooing to follow after Him. Good works is good, but good works without faith in Jesus Christ is dead and is the down fall of many people in Hell now. Please don't fall into that deadly trap of thinking good works is your ticket to heaven, it certainly is not true.
