Please someone help me understamd the bible properly.

Just read it. I read completely through twice before I started understanding some things. Then I started taking notes and doing research. If you're reading KJV it can be hard to understand the old KJ language. Try NIV and see if you can read it better. Stay away from most other versions. There's only a few I trust to be accurate.

Thank you so much. Actually i don't know what it is. It is written as the new testament-psalms and proverbs. I want to get so close to God but i am so unable to understand bible words. I live for God. Actually i am not a born christian. My family follows hinduism. So i learnt whatever i know from my friend. She told me about God and from then on i followed God. So its very difficult when you don't any help from anyone. Before my friend helped me but now we live differently. So now it is more difficult but i am not gonna lose hope. Thank you so much. This cimmunity helps me alot. Thank You God for this community and for everything. Love You God so much. Amen..

The version would likely be on the cover or the inside title page. Try these: KJV spine or KJV title page.

To be a born again Christian is found in the New Testament.

Matthew 4:17

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Acts 16:31

They  replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

Repent (turn from sin) and believe in Jesus, He will do the rest as you Read and pray and get to know Him more.

Hi Ananya,

Is English your second language?  When I started studying the bible I started with the NLT.  As I started understanding it I moved to the NASB.  Now I use both.  The Holy Spirit is the One who helps us understand, but community (here online is great) helps us as well.  If you can get your hands on a study bible, it is also like having a companion in studying, you get their thoughts to understanding as well.  Just remember that the notes in a study bible are not inspired.  Keep up the good work, you'll get there.  Also, please know that we are all ALWAYS learning.  No one understands everything.  We will have questions that will remain unanswered, but the important things (like the Gospel) are what matters.

English is not the problem but i don't know why i don't understand it properly. I want to learn so much. God is everhthing for me. I love Him so much and i want to get more close to Him each day. Yes this community is so helpful. Everyone here is so good by their heart. From the first day onwards, everyone is just trying to help me whenever i asked for. Thank you so much Carla.

Here are a few practical steps:

#1 - Get to know some of the different names of God.

#2 - Read the book of John in one of the easier to understand versions (NIV or NLT)

#3 - Bring your questions to this group, or other Christian groups.  Questions are good and healthy.  Keep asking.

#4 - pray through every step

#5 - Keep reading. :-)

Through all of this you will get to know Jesus who is Himself GOD.  This will bring about more questions as you study the Trinity.  Keep in mind, the trinity is ONE God in THREE persons (co-equal and co-eternal).  Father, Son, Holy Spirit.  https://www.gotquestions.org/Tritheism-Trinity.html

I'm have the same problem of understanding the bible. Its a little discouraging because I'm so hungry for his word. But I won't give up.
