How does God handle someone who wronged somebody in a wicked way? Do they just "get away with it" until Judgement day? Or does God cause problems for that individual appropriate to the wrong they committed?
My girlfriend was wronged by someone in a very wicked way and I am tempted to do something about it but I am trying to leave it for God and have belief that he won't allow this person to laugh at my girlfriend's misfortune.

Hi Dee,
The bible does say that we reap what we sow Gal 6:7,8 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
I know it’s hard, but I would definitely leave it in God’s hands. If you are tempted to do something, think of this verse :
Rom 12:19 "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
Paul gives us this example when someone wronged him : 2Ti 4:14 "Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: "
Once you’ve given it to God, the next best thing you can do, to let it go, is to choose to forgive them:
Mat 6:14 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:"
Mat 6:15 "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
I know it’s not easy, but in Jesus name you can do it!
Be blessed!
Dave
The question is does god judge/punish what you reap in THIS lifetime on this earth or do they not face punishment until judgement day?
Was it something illegal this person did?
It was. The police were already involved but they don't have enough to charge/make an arrest. Everyone knows it was him who did what he did but there isn't enough to arrest. I just want to truth to come out and the let the chips fall where they may. I don't care what his punishment is in terms of the law. I just want it to be exposed what he did.
There is such a thing as punishment in the here and now. But legally it must be exposed, not personally, I believe the Bible states between 2 or 3 witnesses. I know it must be very difficult, but please let the authorities handle what was wronged. Perhaps the Lord will speak to this person once they are caught. I've known many who have sincerely found the LORD during incarceration. Pray for blessings upon this person....as hard of a task as that may seem, pray through it.
Please take the high road....you will see God move. You are being lifted up in my prayers my friend, I understand the difficulty, I KNOW....just hang tight.
Love in Christ,
WM
Just a thought...but I'm remembering the story of Saul the Pharisee who called for Stephen's stoning. Later he became Paul....please remember that, people can be changed by God.
Love you!
