All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Some of my Christian friends insist I, as a Christian, can only vote  for Donald Trump, and that a vote for either of the Democrats would be a sin.

And so I wonder if the Bible is really that cut and dried on my voting practices? I'm not kidding when I say that many of my fellow church goers seem to believe that God is literally a Republican.

On the one hand, Mr Trump talks and acts like a heathen. On the other hand, the other candidates support abortion. And so I wonder what a new Christian must do in the voting booth this year without violating his or her own conscience.

ROFL. Wasn't meaning to get nobody defensive about their country. Most people love the country they grew up in. I was just stating a few facts. Nothing more. Glad u like our baseball.

USA MLB baseball parks really know how to do it right!  I guess it's because there's so much competition.  I'm grateful that the one MLB Canadian park is in Toronto close to where I live.... but truly no comparison to what you guys have.

Whole heartedly agree Theodiskaz - "I feel that most American Evangelicals are wearing their political distinctions more openly than the armor of God."

If more of us in God's family would be as passionate about loving others as we love to hear our own voices, maybe the world would see Jesus in us!

In reality Theo, they all stink this time. None hold any valuable credibility. The only thing with Trump is he says what the main stream says but he says it out loud, up front & personal. He says what the others only wish they could say. That's the ONLY good quality he has & then there are some things that are better left unsaid. You just have to leave it with the Lord & let Him show you who to vote for. It's no one else's business what u do behind that curtain.

For me if I vote for someone or something I am affirming that I stand with the one or thing I voted for. I cannot vote for one just to defeat the other, in which case I am choosing a bad option to override a worse option. Thus, there are times I simply cannot vote ... because my belief, as stated, is that a vote is an affirmation of the one or thing I voted for.

Can you imagine Jesus in any election voting for the lesser of two evils?

Food for thought,

LT

I completely agree.

This is precisely what happened in the recent Canadian elections.  Steven Harper, the leader of the conservative government was so disliked by the general population that they voted a liberal government just to override the conservative government.  Justin Trudeau, Liberal was voted in.

I think the majority voted Harper out more so, than voting Trudeau in.  It's a case in the minds of the masses as the lesser of two evils.

It's definitely a tough decision especially this go around.

The Bible makes no mistakes Gids word us true especially when he inspired men of God to write the prophecies. This world belongs to satan. America as we know it is being judged.

I wont vote its all a show. This world is corrupt and only evil men are now on the scene. As it is written God is judging America for her sins.
