I have been studying to be a Women's Minister for a year now. The mentor I had turned out not to be a good example of a mentor. I realize that Jesus is the greatest mentor of all, however through my endeavors I have discovered that when I can discuss what I am studying with others I get a deeper understanding because I know God teaches us through others. I'm looking for someone that might like to connect with me on that level. I'm attending a college that stresses on mentors/and mentor ships during our time of study.

I think it would be great to post some discussions on the forum & we all work together. However, if you want just one-on-one, I wouldn't mind working with you.
As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
Proverbs 27:17
Thank you so much. Group or individual help would both be great. I can use all the help I can get and pray I can be of some help to others. God bless!
Well, we can start a group on here and start up a study together. If you want me to start one just let me know. You could start it as well.
I'm taking Bible classes too. It would be nice to talk in discussions on the forum if you'd like to. The forum is a good place. :-) There's a great prayer room. Sometimes I pray that my papers come together. Do you ever get writer's block?
We have students on the AAG website at different levels. It would be a blessing to talk and learn from each other.
Love,
Mary
Thank you for your response. and to answer your question yes I do get writers block. I have to set the material aside for a bit and step into a different perspective then return later. I have a couple of scriptures I have gotten hung up on. It pertains to conversion with God through bible reading and prayer, the main scripture in Psalm 1:1-4, the reference scriptures for V.4 are where I am at. These are Job 21:18 and Isaiah 17:13. I did what i normally do for answers. Set the study aside, went to God for understanding, but I still am having some trouble with it. I pray that someone could look at those and see if they could help me through them. The bible(s) I use are a life application study bible and the Dakes Annotated reference bible. Strong's Concordance and the Vine's Dictionary
You have a Strongs. :-) Sometimes I mark the spot in my Bible and someone will eventually teach on it at a Bible study or worship service. I always feel like God was listening when that happens. We have God's attention more than we realize. I'm at work right now, and stop by during lunch time. My work computer won't allow me to cut and paste. My home computer works better. Hard to fathom, but true.
Love,
Mary
Yes, I have a Strong's. It is a very useful tool. I was blessed with it by a church who had an account with a bookstore, and the church donated it and my Vine's for me to further my studies, and a better understanding. I prayed for a while for them.
They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away. (Job 21:18)
If you look at the context, “They” is the wicked. Start reading in verse 7. You have to look at the complete picture. All looks good for the wicked until verse 13, and verses 14-16 explain why. As we continue to read, we see they reject God. Although things may look good for the wicked now, verse 18 says they are as stubble before the wind and chaff that the storm carries away. Chaff is waste material (seed hulls) and t is plowed into the soil or burnt. Chaff gets blown away by in the wind, it has little use for humans and is used as cattle fodder. It’s in my dictionary, and I didn’t write the dictionary or the book of Job. The chapter continues.
