Holy hip hop
So I've been doing some research because i like Christian rap or rock music. I like Christian comtarparay music. But ive seen some you tube videos and other website that are againest it. They point out things like satanic occult symbolism and subliminal messages and stuff like that. I was having a talk with my brother (a Christian as well ) and he made the point of... if people find Jesus through their music isnt that a good thing? Satan doesnt want to advance the kingdom of God. Am i just reading into the wrong stuff here? I just want to make sure im glorifying God and praising Jesus. Anyone here ever looked up these illuminati kinda videos about the music industry and Hollywood? Some eye opening stuff their. Anyone know where I'm coming from? I would like to discuss this topic if anyone else would....

Music is neutral. Lyrics determine the focus and any animation added to a video must be evaluated in the same way we would evaluate the lyrics. It is not how does the song sound, but rather what does sit say? If they shoot a music video what symbols or actions are being displayed? The way we evaluate it is not by how it makes us feel, but rather in light of the Word of God.

This one time I was ranting and raving to a friend about some gospel hip hop I had. At the time, I had just been born again and I was so happy that I could now listen to hip hop that glorified God,because I liked hip hop, only I used to listen to the type that is derogatory towards women at all turns, and I used to blindly sing along, even though I'm also a women (how foolish the things of darkness are)
Needless to say, he burst my bubble by telling me that, that sort of music is like trying to drag the things of darkness into God's kingdom with you. He had valid points, and I guess I kinda listened to him because I unconsciously stopped listening to it. But you know what, I disagree with him because, all these things were created through Jesus and for Him. The enemy steals them and presents them as his own and uses them for purposes of darkness. he tries to mimic everything that is of the Kingdom of God.
I used to ask myself this question: "Why are there more singers, than there are record deals?" The answer: All these singers are meant to me glorifying God and that is their purpose, not to be representing the kingdom darkness like most do. Again it is clear that the enemy took up a tool (music) from God's Kingdom and uses it for purposes of darkness. "...he comes to steal and destroy..."
