When a believer dies, the go immediately into the presence of God.
When a non-believer dies, they go immediately to Hell.
It is a loving thing to inform others of this truth.
Jesus spoke more about Hell than anyone else, so we must take this very seriously.
Hell is not a place that anyone would wish to be. And when a person makes fun of that location, they do so in ignorance.
3 people die per second
Every day 250,000 enter into eternity
When we die, there are to destinations
1. Heaven
2. Hell
Matthew 7:13-14 NIV
[13] "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. [14] But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
If a person ends up in Hell, it is a result of their life choices. Many choices.
Why do people use the term Hell in a sentence?
It is a joke to many people. But it is not a joke.
It is a place in eternity where there will be torment forever.
In our culture, divine judgement is the most offensive thing to many!
Hell is not a party place, and the devil does not rule over this location.
A lack of belief in God and the afterlife is the reason that we see violence nourished throughout the world. And it's just as bad for those who worship a false god.

Luke 16:19-22 NIV
[19] "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. [20] At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores [21] and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. [22] "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.

The story of two men...
1. One owns many things and the other who owns nothing
2. One goes to torment, and the other who goes to comfort
COMFORT AND TORMENT
No one wants you to be in Heaven more than Jesus!

Luke 16:22-31 NIV
[22] "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. [23] In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. [24] So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' [25] "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. [26] And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' [27] "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, [28] for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' [29] "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' [30] " 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' [31] "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

This was the story of one who
flaunted his wealth and possessions
and did not care for those in need.
Outside of his gate, there was an impoverished man...
A hurting man ignored by the rich man...
The Angels carried Lazarus to Heaven!
Getting a proper perspective on Hell is essential.
1. People in hell suffer
2. Once in Hell you cannot cross over to Heaven
3. In Hell you are fully conscious of where you are
Some might ask: "How can a God of Love send people to Hell?"
God is giving people in the afterlife what they wanted in this life.
Hell is the result of a choice.
Hell is ones freely chosen path.
People that did not want God in this life, don't have to experience God in the afterlife.
But what about those who claim to have died, and come back to life and recount fantastic stories of what they claim to be heaven? And what about those who claim to speak to their dead friends or family? Some even claim to get guidance from those who have died.
Scripture forbids communication with the dead - with those that have entered into eternity. We cannot communicate with them, and one has to ask themselves this very important question:
If I am speaking to a spirit and God forbids communication with spirits that have passed into eternity, then who am I speaking with? Who might be opposed to God and seeking to deceive me? Who indeed is the father of lies that was created as an angel of light?
Satan! He and his demons lie, deceive, and rob and kill. Do not believe that which is contrary to God's word in the Bible.
The only reliable source of Heaven and Hell is the Bible -- not from those who have claimed a near-death experience.
Isn't it good news to know you are not going to Hell!
You cannot appreciate the good news until you hear and understand the bad news.
Once you enter eternity, you have sealed your permanent address.
Jesus was forsaken so I could be forgiven.
The road to hell is paved with excuses.
Jude 1:22-23 NIV
[22] Be merciful to those who doubt; [23] snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear---hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
