What about fate?

I had meant to share this earlier.  About Heb 2:14 Because God's children are human beings--made of flesh and blood--the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.  

In Gill’s Exposition about Heb 2:14 where the enemy is concerned about power.  ...that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; the devil is said to have the power of death, not because he can kill and destroy men at pleasure, but because he was the first introducer of sin, which brought death into the world, and so he was a murderer from the beginning; and he still tempts men to sin, and then accuses them of it, and terrifies and affrights them with death; and by divine permission has inflicted it, and will be the executioner of the second death…

 When you shared your thoughts at the moment about Death and Hades, the pale rider is named death and hades followed.  The idea of the two as beings, which appears to be what The Word is telling us.  I am not a big Revelation student, compared to the other Books in The Word.  I should be just have not been.  So giving them identities intrigued me.  I have always thought of death as a being just not hades as well.  Even though I have read over the book, Amanda thank you for sharing what The Word tells us, and your thinking.       12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Rev 20:12-14

The more we read about God's Plan/fate, we can get a clear view of His Love for us.  Love from The Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, the enemy has no weapon; no ability to come against His Love.  The enemy cannot separate us from His Love.  12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— 13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” Rom 8:12-15    

As we can see His Plan  20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who are asleep. 21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, 24 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 27 For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. 28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all1 Cor 15:20-28

As we read the Word, we see clearly The Fathers Love, the Actions of Jesus which made possible "our path to walk," how The Spirit guides us all spelled out.  So God's Plan and Love for us never needs to be hidden, as if a "secret," one we would have to keep from the enemy.   The Word tells us exactly what we need to know.  The enemy has to sneak around, it attacks us in ways that it must try to surprise us.  God openly speaks of His Plan.  His Abilities are Without Question.  I have not thought about these things in this manner before.  Faith...

Yes, Chris. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and discernment as well. If we take the Scripture at face value, then I see no other possible interpretation, at this point. But I'm still learning and still open to hearing another's insights about it. It's a big, big subject! Lol

I do believe in fate.  Yes I do.  You and I await the same fate.  But I hasten to add that my understanding of fate is grounded in (and limited to) the Scriptures.  The Word of God tells us that: 

1. Every individual without exception faces the same fate: death and judgment.  Each of us inhabits a mortal body and will die sooner or later.  Nobody knows how much time they have, but the Bible says that we have only one life.  (Heb 9:27; Ecc3:2; 2 Cor 5:10)
2. The fate (final destiny) of every person is heaven or hell. (Dan 12:2,3; Mat 25:46; John 5:28; Rev 20:14,15).
3. Whether a person ends up in heaven or hell depends on whether they choose to place their faith and trust in Christ and are reborn by the Holy Spirit or they reject Christ. (John 3:16, 36; 1 Cor 15).
