Hi Gregory,

The first thing that impresses me about your post is that you say, pray that God will help me get through this, keep me safe, and help me deal with these negative feelings caused by the way things are.

You're on the right track, Bro.

You are asking for God's help........not to remove you from this situation.....but to help you through the evil, stinking, ugly dangerous scene you are faced with. That's the correct approach.... Exactly what Jesus prayed for the apostle Peter in Luke 22:31-32. Check it out.

Excellent verse on this kind of situation  -  John 16:33, Jesus says, " These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

 

Almighty God, the God of power, and wisdom, and victory...... we lift up Gregory to you just now, that You will anoint him with the where-with-all to face, stand up to , and overcome the forces of evil against him. Give him what he needs to bring you the honor and glory through Christ Jesus.

Amen.
