Is god not his name?

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  (John 14:6)

This verse came to mind. Have you ever had that happen? Someone will say something and a Bible verse pops into your head? I don't know you well enough to know where you are in your spiritual walk. Sorry about that. God loves us, but no one comes to Him except through Jesus Christ. The verse makes me think, how do we approach God? How do we ask for help? Whether it's to find the way, searching for truth or life. And consider, have we made Him Lord? A lot of people believe He's the saviour from sin, but is He their Lord? For a long time I didn't get that. I wasn't paying that much attention to the Bible or to God. God would show me things where I was really messing up. He's Lord when you change and allign yourself to His will.

Lashana,

I removed the link. I HIGHLY RECOMMENED staying away from their teaching. It went off focusing on tones and sounds, vibrations. God is a real being, the Creator. He hears us without us "tapping" in to Him through methods. He seeks a relationship with you and me.

 

God has many names listed in Scripture. These names basically reveal something about Him. They are not designed to be his name like LT or Lashana. Learning these names help us to understand a little more about Him. He does want us to know about Him, but more importantly He wants us to know Him.

I would examine your statement "he has not changed anything in my life".  Truly?

I've thought the same things, but when I honestly took a look, I realized there's plenty He's changed.  Though not the way I wanted.  Perhaps the circumstances got really bad.  Perhaps I feel financially worse off than ever.  But I'm more compassionate, I think more before I run my big mouth these days, I finally reached a point where I know God loves me and I love Him and that took some MAJOR doing.  I smile more now, even when life isn't where I want it to be.  Due to His promptings, I moved to a location I would never have chosen myself.  Sorry, not a country backwoods girl.  I want my city back.  LOL  But I never noticed nature or cared before and now I do.  It's slowed me down.  Gives me more time to think, pray, read.

Take a good hard honest look.  If He truly hasn't changed anything, I'd then start looking within to see if you're wanting change or wanting to just receive.  You have to get to a point where you want more than the things around you to change.  You have to want the inside to change too and God usually starts there first.  So if that's changing, then He HAS changed things in your life.  ;-)
