Maria, God is triune, existing in three distinct Persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Body of Christ recognizes the doctrine of the trinity as a very biblical teaching. Don't you?

I have studied with the JW, I studied with them for three years, but when I pick up the word of God without depending on the interpretation they give to scripture I saw that their beliefs could not be supported with the teachings of the word.
The JW are not consider to be part of the Christian community due to the fact that they have made their own translation of the bible which does damage to the original languages, the Hebrew and the Greek. They are not considered Christians but a cult who has many erroneous doctrines.
I am bless that you are here and we will do as God leads us to edify you. Your are welcome here and please do not feel attack ok :) Personally I love discussing all biblical topics, so if I come off a bit stern, it is just my zeal and love for you and doctrinal purity.

Of course I'll bear with you. Forbearing is something that believers in Christ should be ready to do. "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2).
It means being patient with others in their weaknesses. Many here on this site have truly put up with me and have been longsuffering and patient, proving they are true believers. Lol
I understand the pain you feel for having trusted only to discover you've been deceived. Yet, I thank God that you are being set free from believing in a false hope. The JW teachings are false. My two oldest sisters, although they haven't joined the JW cult, have studied with them for years, allowing them to come into their homes. I don't know if they will ever return to the right pathway. Both of them believe everything the JW's say and even though they aren't committed members of the cult, they both say they believe they will be allowed to live forever in Paradise on earth. It is heartbreaking.
God does want to give us eternal life. When we die we will go to heaven and be with the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit. Eternal life is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. You must believe that Jesus paid the wages of sin for you by dying for you on the cross. You must personally receive God's gift of eternal life by receiving Jesus as your Savior and Lord. You must believe and ask Jesus to save you.
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[d] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”[e] 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[f] (Romans 10, NIV).
There are several pastors here who will likely be of more help to you than I can be in helping you understand these things.
I am in prayers for you 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1, NIV).
May these words comfort your heart.

Maria,
I just wanted to share a little comfort with you regarding grief and sorrow. I read your post about death and I wanted to reassure you that it is OK to grieve the loss of a loved one and it isn't unbiblical. Many people are afraid to experience strong emotions like grief.
I know that if you were raised as a JW then many of your loved ones might be shunning you now for no longer adhering to that teaching. This kind of rejection does hurt as I've experienced it from my two oldest sisters to some extent, as they don't completely have nothing to do with me but they have very little to do with me and it does cause sorrow.
The way I understand it is that the Bible doesn't teach that mourning the loss of a loved one is wrong. In Luke 7:11-17, a large crowd was with the widow whose son had died during a funeral procession. Jesus told her not to weep, but not because she was doing something wrong. His heart was filled with compassion for her because of her loss and He raised her son back to life again.
The Apostle Paul said, "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope" (1 Thessalonians 4:13) but the instruction does not say do not grieve at all. We are just not to grieve as those who have no hope.
Jesus said, Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) and Romans 12:15 says, Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
I do not see that grief for a death is needless or that Christ doesn't want us to experience grief. In the OT some signs of mourning were rending the outer garments, wearing sack cloth, strewing earth or ashes, cutting or shaving the hair and beard, and fasting.
It was Job's response when he lost his children. It was not a wrong response. We know, as the reader, that Job is righteous because we read in the prologue of the Book of Job (the first two chapters) the conversation between God and Satan. We know the reason Job is suffering is because he is righteous and Job continued to do what was right even though he was suffering. His acts of mourning were not sinful at all.
In Job 42 God tells Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has."
We love and therefore we mourn for the loss of our loved ones but not as those who have no hope for our hope in Christ Jesus comforts us. We also know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. But if we aren't sure that a loved one was born again, then we feel sorrowful for that. But we know our hope is in Christ. We know that death is not a soul sleep. The body returns to the dust of the earth awaiting the resurrection from the dead but those in Christ -- their spirits go to be with Him and those not in Christ face an eternal torment in Hell. -
