All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

What happens to good people around the world when they die, if they never heard about Jesus?

What and how will God judge those people who were not exposed to Christianity/Jesus, if Jesus is the only way to Salvation?

These questions are among the most common ones asked, so it is good that we have a biblical answer for them.

Colby,

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19,20)

That chapter in Romans is KEY to these questions. Very good beloved.

When Christ resurrected and ascended, He led captivity captive. He cleared out Abraham's Bosom. I believe that those persons who have never been told of Christ, will hear Him speak to them at some point. I believe that if no one tells them, He will tell them. There are people in this world who have never heard of Christ but they have God's laws written on their hearts and they live in obedience to that law. It is my belief that Christ will give them the chance to accept Him.

Just sayin' ...............

Blessings.....

Rita

Dear Rita,

This is my question:

>>What happens to good people around the world when they die, if they never heard about Jesus?

The answer I will give you is a trick answer. Nothing happens to good people when they die, nothing bad. Good people go straight to heaven, but the thing is, there are no good people around the world. There is only totally depraved, fallen individuals in the world.

So how can God send people who have never heard of Jesus to hell, if they are not guilty of not believing in Jesus?

Well - just like people were condemned in the Old Testament times. The rejected the Father. Colby placed this verse above:

  • For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19,20)

To reject Jesus is to reject the Holy Spirit and the Father. To reject the Father is to reject Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

It is appointed for men to live and to die once on Earth. No second chances after we die, in the Old or New Testament.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,

It does not matter whether we reject Jesus or God the Father, we reject God, if we reject either one, they are two persons, yet the same God.

God has revealed himself plainly as the verse professes, God has shown it to them, and as Sister Amanda stated, God has revealed himself to them through different avenues leaving all of humanity without an excuse.

God will judge the world according to their rejection or acceptance of himself. The Native American that never heard about Jesus is without an excuse, because what can clearly be seen of God has been revealed to him through God's creation and further more, even if the person was blind, they have God's law in their heart. God has given them a conscience. They may not be guilty of rejecting Jesus, but they are guilty of rejecting God!!!

God has revealed himself clearly to every human in the planet and what they do with that revelation, condemns them, for God is not holding anyone from salvation, but desires that all men come to salvation. He does not actively will or decree that all men be saved, but it is his desire that all be saved.

Men choose darkness over light, not because they are physically force to by God or anyone, but because we love darkness over light. We are morally enslaved to sin until God does His work in our hearts. Men choose evil not because they are predestined by God to choose evil, but because they love the flesh. Not only do they love the flesh, but they go as far as suppressing the truth.

"who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth."

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23

God's Wrath on Unrighteousness

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,[g] in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

>>how will God judge those people who were not exposed to Christianity/Jesus?

THE WORLD CANNOT CLAIM INSUFFICIENT EVIDANCE, THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO REJECT GOD AND THAT IS THE BASIS FOR THEIR JUDGEMENT. JESUS CAME INTO A WORLD THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN JUDGED. THERE ARE NO GOOD OR INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

David,

There are many people who live in remote areas of the earth. I do not agree that they don't necessarily know of God. God is clearly seen through this earth we live on. They haven't been told of Jesus. What I am saying is that God may be in the equation but Christ may not be.

Blessings.....

Rita

I understand what you are saying sis Rita, but have you consider what I posted? To deny Christ is to deny God, to deny God, is to deny Jesus. Those who deny or reject God are just as guilty as dennying or rejecting Jesus.

David,

If there is a person to be saved, God will save them. We see situations in the Bible of this nature. Cornelius is a good example of one seeking God but did not know the way. God showed him the way. Paul was convinced he was doing right and had it in his heart to do right and God saved him. I wonder how many have found Christ without someone preaching Christ to them. Preaching is the method that God has chosen to tell the world. However, if one of His does not know the way, He will show him the way. There is no power on this earth that can stop that person from knowing Christ.

I can't really say that any are truly seeking Him. However, if they are, they will find Him. That is Christ's promise. If you truly seek, you will find. If you call on that One that created the heavens and the earth, you will find Him. I believe that one that cries out to Him will find Him. Not one of His will be lost.

Hey, tell my brother "hi" if you see him.

Roy,

As a recipient of God's grace in salvation, without having any substantial knowledge of God/Christ, other than the glory of God that nature displays and a Chick tract called "This was your life!" I can completely relate and give testimony of what you wrote.

 >>There is no power on this earth that can stop that person from knowing Christ.

Amen!

David,

I need to clarify something. Believing that none will be lost does not in the least free us of any of the responsibility given to us to take this Gospel to every creature teaching all nations including our own. If we fail to share we may get a good old fashioned thrashing or lickin' which we deserve. We have been commanded to take this Gospel to every nation. We cannot let up doing that. We must do all we can and trust God to do the rest.

Roy that is a good reminder.

It is an amazing truth that God has given us the privilege of being co-workers in his plan of redemption. I have never experience anything greater than experiencing God working through me to bring a person home.

Even when my little one was born, it did not compare to the day that a man surrendered his life to Christ, in repentance of his sins, while we prayed together. That was simply supernatural.

Probably Romans 2;12-16 would shed some light on God's righteous judgement.

12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares."
