My question is at what time was the Name of Jesus empowered? Was it when He was born? Was it after the cross?
“Through Faith in the Name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ Name has healed him before your very eyes. Acts 3:16
9 Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of Highest Honor and gave Him the Name above all other names, 10 that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. Phil 2:9-11
12 Because of Christ and our Faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. 14 When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, Eph 3:12;14
As Peter was speaking to the crowd he said, “Through faith in the Name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ Name has healed him before your very eyes.“
While Jesus walked this earth, when people who were possessed with demons, just Jesus showing up freaked them out. In Philippians 2:9 ...gave Him the Name above all other names... God told Joseph and Mary to name Him Jesus. He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Phil 2:8 We read in verse 9 “...God elevated Him to the place of Highest Honor...” My question is at what time was the Name of Jesus empowered? Was it when He was born? Was it after the cross?
At what point did His Name, become so very Holy and Powerful? Peter told that crowd, “Through Faith in the Name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ Name has healed him before your very eyes.” Acts 3:16 For healing he is telling the crowd, Faith in the Name of Jesus. For Salvation we know we must Believe in Jesus. In His Name; in Who He is, we put our complete Trust.
16 I pray that from His Glorious, unlimited resources He will Empower you with Inner Strength through His Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make His Home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s Love and keep you strong. Eph 3:16-17 But, when did the Name of Jesus become empowered? That we need to have Faith in His Name, for Healing. When He sent the twelve out two by two? 7 And he called his twelve disciples together and began sending them out two by two, giving them authority to cast out evil spirits. 12 So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God. 13 And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil. Mark 6:7;12-13 We see Jesus giving them authority. Did they use His Name? Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness. Matt 10:1
One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Luke 9:1

Hi Chris, God bless you!
10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. (Philippians 3:10-11)
Personal opinion we've only scratched the surface of what God is going to do for us. How much power will it take to resurrect everyone? It's more power than I can fathom. My understanding of it is that Jesus will speak it into being. I also heard that when he returns, the mountain will split when he steps foot upon it. It gives me good goosebumps to think about it.
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)
Love,
Mary
One of the reasons I ask this is, it is only after the death of Jesus that His disciples used His Name. When He sent them out two by two, we do not read this instruction.
"You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. I have appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you.John 15:16 We read these instructions yet, they do not seem to apply until after His death.
So when He sent them out, were they drawing on His Anointing? On His Authority that He shared when He laid hands on them. It seems that only after His Death and Resurrection, and after the Holy Spirit came that they used His Name. So we see Jesus using and sharing His Authority, then after we are able to use His Name and our authority in Him, to serve Him and others for His Glory.
So was it only after that His Name was Empowered?
Can it be both His name and His anointing? Luke 10:1-8 talks about when Jesus sent out 72.
[1] After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. [2] He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. [3] Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. [4] Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
[5] "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' [6] If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. [7] Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. [8] When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you."
They reported back later...
"Even the demons submit to us in your name" (10:17).
Love and God bless,
Mary
Thank you Mary. As you have shared, in Luke 10:17 they speak of using His Name. I had not seen His disciples using His Name really until after He was with the Father.
Bless you for sharing Sister.
The name Jesus is a name above all names.
In John's Gospel we read that Jesus said this to his disciples: “Whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name.
Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” (Jn16:23-24).
The prophecy of Isaiah: “Behold the virgin will conceive and will bear a son, and they will name him Emmanuel” (Is7:14).
The angel told Mary that her son would be called "Jesus" because he would save us from our sins (Mt1:21; Lk1:13).
“God has given him a name which is above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth” (Php2:9-10).
“There is no other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved” (Ac4:12).
"Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved" (Jl2:32; Ac2:21).
"Without me you can do nothing" (Jn 5:5).
