Hi everyone,
I have been a follower of Christ for almost 2 years and overall have experienced my faith and relationship with the Lord growing gradually.
However, there are moments when I feel like my faith has flied out the window and I find myself wondering if I'm crazy to believe all this. Even though these thoughts only last a few seconds, they are uncomfortable.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this talked about at all in the Bible? Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated~

thanks Rita~
you said that Satan "is trying to convince us to act on the thoughts he puts in our minds."
i am just curious: if Satan can't read our minds (which seems to be the consensus on many discussions on here), how can he put thoughts into our minds?
i ask because it seems that some of the thoughts Satan puts into my mind are directly related to a thought i just had...
any thoughts anyone?
I know demons can put thoughts into a person's mind just by saying something. For ex. when I was really little they kept telling me "I hate God". It went through my head very often. It was so often I thought it was my own thoughts. But, nope! It was demonic.
Jenny,
This is an excellent question. I am looking forward to some of the responses. I think the answer lies in the area of whether or not Satan does have access to our minds. We do know Satan is a tempter but how does he tempt. From James 1:14 we see that it is finally our own evil tendencies that cause us to sin. My first reaction is that 'no, Satan does not have access to our minds."
Jenny,
Satan is quite the clever one. He's been doing his job for thousands of years. He was so clever that he succeeded at take 1/3 of heaven's angels with him. We live in different times then say a person in the Bible but we are a people of habit. Satan need not know all of our weaknesses to tempt us. He just sticks to his basic tactics.
interesting. so do you mean that he might see a new mother nursing all night and sleep deprived, and based on what he knows from that, inject sinful thought B into her weary mind from his list of strategic temptations?
Tells her she's ugly & fat, her husband no longer desires her, along these lines. My husband wasn't this way but it's what I feel most women feel during that time.
Also when you're physically drained, rough day, or just being sick a while, your defenses may not be a strong, he comes in those times as well.
Satan can't read our minds but he can read our actions. All he has to do is manipulate what you say and do. He sees us happy and contrives to hurt us. We speak what makes us happy and we speak what makes us sad. He or his cohorts are around to listen to all of that.
Blessings....
Rita
Don't underestimate him. He will do all he can to hurt a person and take pleasure doing it.
