Roy,

No, you have misunderstood.

 I did NOT share those statements from my husband in order to compare you to Hitler.

He was saying that according to your theology,  Hitler and God are doing the same thing to the unbelieving Jews. 

Hitler burnt their bodies, and now God is burning their souls.......

Again, what a ridiculous comparison ... You compare the just and righteous action of our holy God who sends to people to eternal punishment due to their sin to that of a mad-man. I just don't see the link.

 

You realize that you are saying God's righteous jugment and actions are no better or different than Hitler's actions. I hope you come to repentance regarding this at some point in your life ....

Ann,

I think perhaps you misread what I wrote. Please go and look at my last two posts. I called it the *snatching away* not the rapture. However, by whatever name one would call it by, it isn't a theory...it is written by Paul in Thessalonians.

Regarding God not being through with Israel...that was what my second post was about.

In understanding this topic, one needs to study the relationship God has with Israel and the relationship God has with the church. One needs to have knowledge of the purpose of Christ coming to earth and what the Atonement means.

I agree with you when you say man can misinterpret His Word. He frequently does exactly that. The way to know God's Word is to study His Word....all of it.

Any covenant that God has made with Israel in the past still stands today.  Salvation through Christ also stands. Israel still needs to accept Christ as Savior in order for them to make Heaven their eternal dwelling place.

Ann,

I have a few questions. You have stated that the Jews will be raised from the dead at some point to be given the chance (for the sake of your argument, I won't call it a second chance) to accept or reject Christ. My questions:

1) When does this resurrection take place and what is your Scripture for this event?

2) Are they raised bodily with their same physical body they had before or are they given a new body at this time?

3) Are others given this same chance or just the Jews?  (Please use Scripture to justify your answers.)

4) Do others hold your view and who are they?

I have another question but I am going to preface it with a Passage:

Lk 16:19-31

19 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In hell,  where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25 "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27 "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29 "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30 "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'" NIV

Ok, now I am going to raise this man from the dead. If given the opportunity to now accept Christ's forgiveness for his extremely selfish ways, what are the chances he would refuse this opportunity? What we don't read in this story are the chances and chances this gentlemen was given to share his wealth in a Godly way. The Lord graciously placed Lazarus at his gate to show the desperate need of others in our world. Unfortunately, the man never budged in his selfishness and continued in his wicked ways.

What you are doing is bringing judgment against a righteous God for pronouncing judgment on mankind for their wickedness and yet you do not know how He has reached out to mankind and to the Jew to save them and grant them forgiveness and life. You are creating a gospel that you think makes God a friendlier and kinder God. You cannot do that as you do not know all things as He does. He has clearly told us that man dies once and then is judged as this rich man was. This man will not be given another chance to repent of his wicked ways.

God sent His Son and allowed the Jews and Gentiles to severely beat Him, mock Him, crucify Him and ultimately reject Him. The Jews know this story. I believe they should cry out to God for forgiveness. Yet, many have not. Now, you want to go ahead and give them a pass because they have been greatly persecuted. But, why have they suffered so greatly. They have suffered to bring them to God. Their suffering does not qualify them to receive another chance.

OK, that is enough questions. I have others but I am guessing that is enough for now.

I pray for the Lord's guidance. I am very troubled by your statements.
