Let your Light Shine

Luke 8:16- 18
16“No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. 17For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.
18“So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”
We have all seen this verse and heard, “Let your Light shine so the world can see.”
But, I want to focus on,”where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.” All who enter the house. As we come into contact with others, they need to see our Light; Jesus and Holy Spirit. As our Light shines because of the presence of the Lord, they are drawn to the Light, much as a moth is. And, as they come we are prepared to share, The Light that reside in us. Luke 12:12 “For The Spirit of Holiness shall teach you in that hour what it is necessary for you to say.” The more we Trust in Him, the stronger we become. Also, as God looks at us, He must see our Light. Our motives are clear to Him. 17For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. When we accept Jesus in to our hearts, we are changed from the inside out. Those things “sin” we did before, as the Light shines on them we see the need to repent. And allow Him to strengthen us, we reform; regenerate and develop into the image of Christ. We let our Light shine by our actions, by the way we talk and even think about things. The Light is the Love of the Lord, that is what the world sees. It is what we must see and realize, that we are Loved. That Love abides and inhabits us, oh so many need to know that. As the enemy tells so many that, they are not loved, but the Truth is Love dwells and endures in them. Yet, so many have been hurt, and are afraid to trust. Even to trust the Voice inside of them, the Voice that tells them, “they are Loved.” Because, of the hurt they listen to the other voice, the one that tells them, “they are not loved.” That voice leads them into darkness. We Pray for those and lift them up to the Lord, so that they are able to recognize the Truth. The Truth that they not only are Loved, but Pure Love lives in them.
18“So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. While reading the Word is important, it is only the first step. Ps 119:15 I want to reflect on your guiding principles and study your ways; I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. Ps 119:99 Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws.; I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. You see we meditate on His Word. Ponder there meanings. Allow the Spirit to show us, to open our minds to the Powerful Word of God. This is where we gain Wisdom, we gain a deeper Understanding of His Love, His Grace and Mercy.
Gal 5:25 If we live by our spiritual nature, then our lives need to conform to our spiritual nature.; Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.; We shall live therefore in The Spirit and surrender to The Spirit, This shows we are conforming to His Ways, so often we wait for Him to change us. Here in this verse the 3 interpretations say, “our lives need to conform to our spiritual nature.” “ let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives” “ surrender to The Spirit,” All of these things show action on our part, not His. We do these things out of Love to Our Lord. We learn to do this by meditating on His Word. We do that by reading His Word. And of course, we read His Word because we accepted Jesus into our lives. So let your Light Shine Brightly in this dark world. Live to show yourself Approved. Brothers and Sisters Let your Light Shine, oh so Bright!
