All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I have always felt that time is without beginning or end. My time on earth is so infintisimal that it can hardly be measured - but I AM IMPORTANT TO GOD. The question, to me, has been why?

A few months ago, the thought came to me that, if I believe God is everything, then God is everywhere. He is in the tiniest piece of dirt and in the entire universe. He is in me and in the smallest insect. How can this be?

It came to me that all matter is made up of the same materials (I am not a scientist or even especially educated, so I can't list all of these materials, but in general I mean atoms, molecules, etc).

What if our earth, our solar system or even our universe is simply an atom of God's being? We know we are important to God. We know we are made in His image. Wouldn't this hypothesis answer a lot of questions?

Hi Leanne,

So Then...Where is Jesus in all of this? Why did He have to die and suffer on the cross to bear all our sins and take the punishment that we each so deserve? Why would death and evil need to be defeated? Why is there suffering in this world?

May God Reveal many things to you as you continue your Journey to discover the Truth of Jesus Christ, who He is and His Great Love for all ManKind, and how He desires a close relationship with you and each one of us.

Hi Leannne,

I just want to seek clarification on what you are asking...I think it might be this...

"but I AM IMPORTANT TO GOD. The question, to me, has been why"?

The answer is because He created you and Loves You. We have been separated from Him because of the original sin of Adam and Eve. He so desires a close Relationship with each of us that He sent His only son --JESUS-- to take upon the sins of the World by death of the Cross. Jesus defeated Death and Sin by His Resurrection. So by us Receiving Jesus --God's gift to us-- we Are Reunited with God. This gift of Eternal Life through Jesus is not something we can earn or something we deserve. IT is a free gift from our Heavenly Father. It is by God's Grace and Tremendous Love for us that we have this offer of Eternal Life in Christ.

So let me ask you a question:
When someone offers you a gift, how do you respond?
Do you say,
'No Thank you',
or maybe you say
'How much do I owe you for that?'
OR-- Do you say
'Thank You'?

I'm sorry this is a quick answer...I hope it can at least be a starting point to answer some of your questions...

Good day Leanne,
The theory you are promoting or suggesting, has been raised time and again since "grandpa fell off the bus" . It is called as Johnathan rightly tells us: "Pantheism".

Pantheism is the philosophy - I think a better word would be - Belief, that everything is divine, that God is not separate from, but totally identified with and within every part and object of the world, as you suggested.

Sadly, should we accept Pantheism then we would have to walk the whole road and here comes the crunch. Part of that road maintains that God does not possess a personality or capable of excelling our human experience. But praise God, He is THE Creator and not a part, or a piece, or even a bit of the creation as Pantheism suggests.
The concept is full of holes and cannot stand up to scrutiny let alone Biblical comparisons.
