I'm interested in finding out what we can do to help TheNET grow faster both in terms of numbers of members and the number of people interacting online at the same time.
On average we see 7 new members every day and about 8 online at once.
Is there something we should change or do that we aren't doing now?
Is there something we are doing that we should stop doing?
New members or visitors, what are your first impressions of TheNET?
Excellent idea! - A children's "new believer" page will have to be attended in much the same way as children's bible study. I caution that a "kid safe" site would really need to be on a different Ning network from AAG.net (this forum) since some of the topic dialogs here are both complex and more adult in topical content. Also as Carla suggested in an earlier post, a "kid friendly" site would have a completely different look and feel. Many years ago I designed children's interactive software (games) and that experience led me to conclude that kids are harsher quality critics that adults. And as we all know they are more tech savvy as well!
You are so right Stew!definitely harsher critics that adults. We learned to count our words and play safe but kids, oh no they spell it right out. And for sure more tech savvy!
Love the idea though of a site especially for the kids for there are many 'bad' sites out there and no safe place where they can share, seek advice, and felt loved for our kids are a neglected generation where it comes to the gospel.
I just joined and was sent a couple of messages within a few minutes which was sweet. So far my experience has been positive, I need to gain some positive people in my life vs. polluters. Sometimes I know I need to be in a church where I feel more comfortable. Single mothers - single parents are sometimes shunned because of our past and don't have a class that meets our needs.
